Fears: Living A Fear Based Life

"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." -Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Sadly though, a lot of us live a fear based life. We live in a world full of phobias. According to (http://phobialist.com/) there is over 500 documented phobias. That is quite the list, seeing as there is a fear of everything. Everything from the fear of spiders to the fear of water. Sometimes, we let these fears run our lives for us. Fear is a demon, and in order to slay that demon we must close our eyes and say we're not afraid.

There is a few things I myself like to do to overcome my fears. Let me share those methods with you today:

The first method I like to use is the Imagery method. Or, facing my fear each and every day. Whatever my fear may be, weather it be physical or mental. I print a picture, or draw a picture of what I feel it looks like. Some sort of picture or object that resembles what my fear is. And I hang it somewhere where I can see it, first thing in the morning. I hang it either on my door or on a mirror. I face that fear every single morning. And that will acclimate my mind into confronting it everyday, thus rendering me less fearful of that which I feared before. This method is quite direct. In some cases, I have noticed it actually made the fear worse in some people. The majority, though, do actually eventually overcome their fears within a reasonable time.

I love to use meditation in these instances. If I feel fear, or work with a client who is full of fear, I usually prescribe daily meditation. I start off with 15 minutes a day, and work it up to around 45 minutes a day after a few months. I recommend meditation, regardless. But, meditation is the best medication anyone can use. There is an old saying, that goes: "If you don't have time to meditate for 15 minutes, meditate for 30". We always have time, we just need to make it. Maybe wake up 15 minutes earlier, Spend 15 minutes less watching TV, or spend 15 minutes less on meaningless tasks. We can always find room for more time, we just have to manage it better.

Fear, often comes from our deep rooted ideologies from childhood. It could come from a bad experience, or exposure, with something we do not understand. Nothing in the world, is truly scary, or else everyone would be afraid of it. Therefore one can assume that fear can be overcome. Just as you can learn anything you set out to learn. It takes us 21 days to make or break a habit. Fear, comes from habitual rituals. When we can face our fear, and tell our fear we are no longer fearful, we can achieve true happiness. We must remember, that fear is not real, but it is only a figment of our imagination. Fear does not exist, we simply let it exist.

Living a fear based life, will lead us to living a very unfulfilled life. Lose your fears, and gain your life. Lose what is holding you back, and step forth into becoming the best version of yourself you have ever seen.

A Letter To The Lost..

Right now you are on a road in life, there is always a road being traveled. Now that might be a dirt road, a gravel road, maybe it is a road in the country or a road in a big city. Maybe that road is blacktop, a highway or a county road. Maybe that road is 4 lanes or 2 lanes. Whatever it may be, you are on a road. Where are you going? What does the horizon look like? What is behind you? What surrounds you? Do you notice anything along your path?

Imagine you find a bowl along the path. How big is the bowl? What is the bowl bade of? How full is it? Do you keep this bowl or do you drop it and leave it? When you see the bowl, how do you feel?

You walk more on this road, and notice a key hanging off a tree or a sign. What kind of key is it? What is it made of? How much does it weigh? Is it small, is it large? How connected do you feel to this key? As you progress on this road, do you decide to keep it or do you decide to leave it alone?

You now reach a fork in the road, to the right is the same path you've been on. But to the left, is a path you have yet to go down. Which way do you go? Which path do you choose to follow? The right or the left?

Whichever path chosen above, leads you to a house. This house is surrounded by a fence, how does this fence look? What material is it made of? What about the outside of the house? What does it look like? How many stories is it? Is it a big house or a small house?

Go to the door, is it unlocked? Is it locked? Did you keep that key from earlier? Go inside, what does it look like inside? Does the outside reflect what the inside looks like? Or is the inside completely different? What is the atmosphere like inside? Is it full inside? Or is it void of furniture?

Leave the house now, and go back to the road. Do you go back the way you came? Or do you decide to go on, into the unknown?

You may be asking me what all this has to do with? You may even be confused at this point. Let me explain:

The road symbolizes the life you have lived up until now.
The bowl is your feelings about money.
The key is your feelings on success.
The fence is how you set the boundaries in your life.
The outside of the house is how you present yourself onto others.
The inside of the house is your real (true) self.
The road is how far you can go into the future(life).

How did you fare? Is there anything you wish to change? Are you happy with your results? This all may not make sense at first glance. If not, I urge you to go back and re-read it. Really think about your decisions. Life is all about decisions. You choose your own destiny, your own path is carved by each and every choice you make in your life. You choose your road, you choose how much you want to fill your bowl up, weather you want the key or not, how you fence yourself off, how you present yourself to others, you choose how far you can go in life. The only thing we cannot change, is who we are. Our (true) self. We can only carve around that. We make choices based off who we are.

What choices have you made thus far in your life? Are you happy with them? Why or why not? Why did you make those choices? Were they your choices? Or did someone else influence them? You see, life is all about the decisions we make. The choices we choose to pursue. What road are you traveling right now? If you don't like it, CHANGE IT. You have the power within you to change every single thing in your life. From the people who occupy your time, to your happiness. Follow your primal instincts. Take what you want from life. The job, TAKE IT. The girl, TAKE IT. The success, TAKE IT. Do not let anyone or anything stand in your path, bust through the walls, jump over the hurdles and continue down that road to success..

Stay positive, and keep it real.

Self Reflection and Self Healing

Good afternoon everyone. I wasn't able to get my videos uploaded this morning or last night, but I can't leave you hanging without a blog post. I have been in deep contemplation these last few months, and it has brought me to this point. Self reflection and self help. These are two of the most important things one can do for themselves.

A few months ago I was cast into a world of deep depression and anxiety. My world was flipped upside down, and just a month ago it came to a screeching halt. These past weeks, have been hard. And I myself have done quite a bit of soul searching, and self reflection. Sometimes, you don't need others to help you. You don't need someone to hold your hand, what you need is yourself. To self reflect and to search for your soul, your inner power to get yourself through the troubling times you are facing. You see, when we are faced with these times of peril, we often go about it the wrong way and we end up doing more self damage than self healing.

   When I got cast into my deep depression, I took a step back from the world. From friends, and family. I took a step back from everything I was doing and I worked on helping myself and healing. Some things I recommend doing;

-Meditation:
Meditation can help you to calm your mind and get the mental clarity to stop obsessing over your situation. Meditation can help you align your thoughts and your mental state to be more relaxed and be more calm about what's going on. Deep, relaxing meditation is a self healing method that has been used for thousands of years, and I recommend doing this first and foremost when you wake up to start your day off in a calm state.

-Walking:
Not only is taking a walk good for clearing your mind, it is good for your health also. Walking gives your heart the exercise it needs to function properly. It also helps your lungs, by breathing in the fresh air. Also, being outside in the sun gives you adequate vitamin D levels, which helps reduce depression and anxiety. It is recommended to walk at least 30 minutes a day, I usually do this after my meditation.

-Drink some tea:
Seriously, brew you some green tea in the morning after your walk and sip you a glass. I choose this over coffee most mornings, because it has antioxidants as well as flavonoids that help balance your bodies natural immune system. Green tea also has less caffeine than coffee, caffeine is a good pick me up but too much can be detrimental. I usually have between 3 to 6 cups of tea a day, the green tea is only in the mornings though ( I will write another blog post soon about the different  teas I drink).

-Tai Chi:
I practice Tai Chi in the mornings to help my body move more fluidly and un-tense my body. I use about a 4-10 minute routine just to get the blood flowing. There are various videos and various sources you can find online for routines to follow.

-Stretching/foam rolling/bioenergetics:
I have talked on bioenergetics before. I learned about it through Elliott Hulse, and it is a good way to energize your body and your mind. I usually start by stretching for a bit, just intuitive stretching and feeling where my body needs it. After that I start my foam rolling routine that usually takes about an hour. After that, I do some bioenergetics, and begin my day after all of the aforementioned. I recommend searching for bioenergetics on YouTube, to get more information about it. The videos will show you the proper techniques on how to perform it on yourself.

That is my daily routine usually. and it has helped me keep on track and get out of my deep pit I was in. I learned to love myself more, and I learned to rely on myself not other people. That is the key to eternal happiness, and the key to making it through hard times. When you are faced with a troubling time, take a step back. Take some YOU time and reflect on what the situation is about. See what you could do NOW not what you could have done THEN. You cannot see a future, with eyes constantly on the past. You need to live in the now, and self heal.

I find myself often drawn to nature, and the woods in times of peril. Being out with nature can help you really put life into perspective. Going barefoot, and grounding yourself with the earth in the grass for 15-30 minutes a day can aid in anti-depression, anti-anxiety, and help you sleep better at night. I try to go barefoot everywhere I go, and when I cannot I throw on my Vibram Five Fingers or flip flops and get as barefoot as possible.

Sometimes you need to shut the lights off, put the electronics down and look up at the sky. Go out on a country road, or go to a field and look up at the stars. Look up and see the stars, the moon, the planets, and that will put life into perspective for you. I myself learned that my problems are minute, in comparison to the vast universe we live in.

Live happy.
Live well.
Do some self reflection.
Love yourself.

What's the Point?

I get asked this question often. What's the point of working out everyday? What's the point of lifting all that heavy stuff? What's the point of your schooling, and what you're educating yourself on? What's the point of doing what you do? "It won't get you anywhere". "What is the practical use for it all?". Time after time I get asked all these questions and told that what I do is worthless. I get asked what the point of life is, what the point of doing what i do is. I am baffled about how much I get bombarded with these questions and ridicule.

The point? In short, there is no point. I could accept my fate, my ultimate fate of death, and not do a damn thing with my life. I could go sit behind a desk and pencil push and punch a time clock. "Yes sir, no sir" and brown nose my way to a head higher in the corporate ass. 40 hour weeks, pension, vacation days, sick days. I could do all that. OR I could do what I love, and never work a day in my life. Why do I do what I do? What's the point? I have a passion, I have motivation and drive to do something worthwhile. Something that I LOVE to do. Something that makes me feel alive everyday that I do it. I feel at home when that heavy barbell leaves the floor. I feel at home when my bare feet touch the ground outside. When I am exploring the outdoors and becoming one with nature. When I meditate, and heal my body. The point? I am using my knowledge and my experience to change other peoples lives.

The point of all of this, is to do what you love and let it kill you. Do what you love, and live your life freely. I could settle, I could get a job and settle for 60 years and die. Or I could get a job, and move my way up in the world. Eventually opening my own business and helping everyone I can reach. Through this blog, through my videos, through me going to school and through me gaining more knowledge and first world experience at things. I am able to help mold someone else's life. That is why I do what I do. I got into fitness and nutrition to help save my own life, and I am using that to help save others. Fitness has kept me from death. And nutrition kept me from an early grave by diseases.

It hurts, the grind, the struggle, it hurts real bad. But so does mediocrity. So does defeat and so does falling from grace. If no one did what they loved, the things we love most wouldn't be here. I do what I do, to give back. Motivation, nutrition, fitness, eastern healing arts such as Reiki and Hypnotherapy and things in that category. These things drive me, these things are my passion. I am on this earth to help spread the message of love, and healing into each and every person who crosses my path.

So, what's the point you ask? The point of this life? The point is to do what you love despite what everyone says. Do what you love, until the day you die even if what you love kills you. Find your passion, find your mark you want to make on the world and run with it. Never dull yourself for the darkness others spread. Never let their negative outshine your positive. Find your passion, find your heart and find yourself. Once you do, don't let anything stop you. You can achieve anything you set your mind out to achieve. The world is full of possibilities, endless possibilities. The point of this life, is to live it to its fullest. With no regrets, with no off button. Go out, have fun, experience things and don't look back. It's not about the number of moments you have, but what those few moments meant to you. Make them all count.

Don't come to a point in your life, where you look back and you see all the things you wish you would have done. Come to the point, when you can  look back and think "What a ride that was" Look back on your life, and don't regret anything. Everything you do, you do for a reason. Everything do you, is exactly what you want to do. The choice is yours, the end result is yours to choose. Choose your own point in life.

The Brightest Lights Shine During the Darkest Times

During this lifetime, you will have your dark days. Sometimes those days may turn into weeks, or even months. Sometimes it may be a year or two before you finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, those brightest lights shine during the darkest of times. You are that bright light, you are the one shining, eroding away at the darkness. You may not even notice it, but you are changing the world around you. You are creating the world you are living in, and when you come to realize that, you can control any situation you come across.

We don't realize it, but our thoughts shape our actions. Those actions shape our very life before us. Therefore if you consistently think negative thoughts, we consistently do negative things, all we will see is the negative in the world around us. We start to notice all the negative things, all the bad drivers, all the broken this and dead that. We shape our world with our thoughts. We think of the world in such a negative way, and we turn on the news and that's all that it is. Negative, and more negative. Too often, we live in this negative mindset, because of the negative self image we have. We see ourselves in a negative place, so in default we also see the world around us just as negatively.

When we can go into a bad situation, and think positively about it, we can become that light shining in the dark. The world is not the bad place you see on the news, it is not the bad place you hear about from others. These people are stuck in negative self image and negative self mindsets. When you can kick this mindset and look at the world through the gaze of light, then you can begin to mold it for your betterment. You see, the kaleidoscope turns more than one way. One way may be dark, but the other brings in more light. Things aren't always as they seem at first, it is only when we look at it in a different perspective, we can finally see it for what it is. And what is it? It is simply, a situation to be molded.

There are countless numbers of ways to mold one situation, so often we choose to mold it negatively. Instead, I encourage you to look at every situation and analyze it. Look at both the negative and the positive. Look at each situation and determine how your actions will mold it. Look at your life right now, and weight the positives with the negatives. Why are the negatives negative? Say you lost your job, that's probably a negative right? Or, is it an underlying positive? Turn that job loss, into following your dreams. Turn that job loss, as a kick in the ass to start your life back up. Maybe your girlfriend left you or wife divorced you. Or, vice versa for the ladies. Turn that breakup or that divorce into an underlying positive, what ended it? What part did you play in that? Can you change yourself? Of course you fucking can. So go do it, mold yourself from those negative perspectives you've shown everyone, into a positive for the next one. Or who knows, maybe she was just giving you a wake up call.

The point I am trying to get across is this, nothing is as what it seems, until you make it what it is. You have the power to shape your own actions. When you think positively, your actions will reflect that. When your actions reflect that, you can mold your world around you. So, when you are faced with a decision in your life, or when you come to a situation. Stop and think, use your thoughts to manifest the reality you want. It's the power of positive thought people, be that bright light shining among the darkness around you. You have the ability to change the world.

Just where in the world have I been?!

I hear it often, from the few people that regularly read my posts and watch my videos. I have gone fairly rogue for the last few months. I have taken the time to do some self reflection. I am currently in school. and I took a 60 day leave of absence. The beginning of 2016 was looking good, I started my own nofap journey and things were looking up. But, every high has its low. Unfortunately the nofap journey came to an end just a month in, when I had a breakup with my now girlfriend, and my grandmother being in the hospital.

To keep a rather long story short, my girlfriend decided we needed space, which I agreed to. But, for some reason I couldn't listen to. Which ended up in a breakup. My grandmother was in an ICU room for 4 days before moved to a hospice room and passing away March 2nd of this year. I have done no blogging and no fitness related anything since. In fact, the only fitness related anything I did was my cousins attempt to get me out of my depression by dragging me to the gym with him and his best friend.

These last few months, I have been in deep self reflection. I have been in deep thought and deep concentration. I have used these last few months of silence to absorb more than I let out into the world. I have been gaining knowledge, both self and business knowledge. I have been in deep contemplation on what avenue I want to take my channel and my blog. I decided to keep up this course, with fitness and nutrition. Along with the motivational speaking. I want to reach out to all those like me, who can get into deep holes of depression that are seemingly endless. My path is one that is paved with many obstacles. I am going to work more on my body and getting it into the proper proportion. This will be phase one:

Phase one includes walking everyday, meditation everyday, and yoga everyday. Transitioning to eating healthier and eating less foods that are body damaging and eating more body healing foods. I will also be doing Tai Chi every morning on top of that. As well as deep foam rolling.

Phase two: Will consist of bodyweight exercises and outside workouts. Such as grass cutting, log splitting, log lifting, etc. Along with the aforementioned in phase one.

Phase three: I will be getting either back into a gym membership and crushing the weights in there, or investing in my own weights to crush. But phase three will consist of the restart of my previous routine done by my coach George Leeman.

Phase four: This phase is where things start coming together. I am hoping by this phase I will be in the last stages of becoming the version of myself I see in phase five. This will be the phase where I put it to the grind and get my own business off the ground.

Phase five: This is the phase where shit will start popping off. The phase where I transition from the person online who is struggling mentally and physically, to the one who travels around giving seminars as a motivational speaker and fitness guru who can help those who are stuck in those dark holes or stuck in life in general.

You see, I haven't just wallowed in self sorrow and self pity. I have been contemplating my part here in this life. We're living just to die and dying just to live. I want to break this damn cycle of saying, not doing, and saying some more. This is the year for ACTION. Watch me, as I show you transformation after transformation. Mentally, physically, spiritually and financially.

The Color Grey.

"Everything is black and white". A phrase heard globally. And, everyone assumes it is true. I mean, there has to be two opposing sides to everything, right?
Things have to be so simple. It's either one side, or the other. You're either for something, or against it. There is no "in between" in most of the lives on this planet. You are told you must either pick and choose. You cannot "sit on the fence" as it is referred to. I am here to tell you, you don't have to choose which side to sit on. You can, in fact, sit on the proverbial "fence". Because there is no defined sides. The sides we define, are just perceptions of our own minds. What we think, we become.

In politics, we have Democrats and Republicans. Each of those sides, have "differing" opinions. And those who believe those ideals, are therefore considered one side or the other. Conservatives and Liberals. Light and Dark. People,  believe their ideals are right. But, they're both right, and they're both wrong. It depends on the person. You see, we have our own perspectives, our own perception of the world. For you to go up to somebody and say, "YOUR view is wrong, because I myself do not view it that way." Is asinine, its arrogant and it is downright disrespectful. It is like, pissing in a cup and calling it beer because you drank a 6 pack, so you say it's beer. Your opinion is not the only opinion on the planet. So why do you make it out that it is?

We get in the groove, this "light and dark" groove. We think everything is all one sided. If it isn't Democrat, its obviously Republican right? Those crazy right wingers, stupid left wing liberal hippies. It's been this way for decades, upon decades, because nobody has questioned the structure upon how society has been built. Why would be question something that is our way of life? It has been that way for many generations. Everyone falling into line, accepting what is told, is told, and that is that. When in the reality of it, that is so far wrong that it isn't even plausible to think otherwise. The world is NOT black and white. It is in fact, many colors of many different shades. That all blend into one big ass color grey.

Things, are never as they seem. What you see, someone else does not see. All 7 billion plus people, see things in a different perspective. So of course, it cannot just be black and white. It is 7 billion shades of grey. Every shade, adding to the overall picture. None of us have the right way, nor the wrong way of doing things. Everyone likes to believe that they have the right answers. And, anyone who doesn't agree is wrong. That is how empires are formed, and that is ultimately how they will fall. Like the Roman Empire, who thought their way was the BEST way. For the time being, it was the best. But, everything good comes to an end, as did the Roman Empire. And, it happened Internally.

Stay humble, when voicing your opinion, and when faced with a rebuttal and you are thinking of voicing your opinion on their opinion of your opinion, stop and think "What impact may my words have on them?", "Is my way really the ONLY right way?". If you ask yourself those two questions, you can never go wrong when the universe gives you an answer back. Because, your first response before asking those questions was probably bullshit. Which was most likely, going to be some sort of insult. We all have those urges. When someone aggravates us, and they say we are wrong. When they just get under the skin, our first instinct is to attack. When behind a keyboard, you cannot punch someone. Your next best defense is your mind, but far too often our minds go into slave mode and we throw insults out at each other. This, gets us nowhere but backwards. We are trying to progress as a society, and our technological advancement is far too fast for our intellectual advancement to catch up.

We have 9 year old girls giving sex shows on webcams, kids having access to websites with pornography, drugs and violence. We have people literally taking their own life, because of the words of another person. People are SO caught up in the acceptance of others, that if you insult their clothes, or the way they look, they starve themselves or they kill themselves. Or, they will do anything to gain your approval. Even if they do not know you. With technology, you can now see a woman's naked body, without even meeting her. What once was a holy ground, a sacred gesture only those who were worthy enough to see, is now seen by millions. A few typed words, and a woman will send you pictures without clothes. Spread eagle, for the world to see. Without even seeing your real face or hearing your voice. It is a sad sad world we live in. Yet, everything everyone says is always the right answer. It's never wrong. But, it's always wrong.

There is a paradox here, somewhere, when people get into arguments. These arguments, are at such a 3rd grade level sometimes, I worry for our world. When you resort to name calling, as your rebuttal, you are in fact, wrong. There are no ifs, ands, or buts. You are 100% wrong. This will invoke anger in your "opponent" and, they will rebuttal with the same if they are wired like you are. Most people are, most people are wired by society. Society is always wrong, but they're never wrong. They're never right, but they're always right. Confused yet?

This is why wars are started, and fought. Over people, will differing opinions on how the world should be ran.

The point I am trying to make, in all this confusion, is this. The world, society as a whole, tends to think on the premise that there are two equal sides to the fence. When in reality, there is more to the world than black and white. There are more than two sides. There are 7 billion sides. The media, the governments of the world, the "leaders", would like you to perceive it as a black and white issue. But the fact remains, the world is made up of over 7 billions shades of grey, you are but one side to a 7 billion sided die.

This is why wars are started, and fought. Over people, will differing opinions on how the world should be ran.

The Fear Of Rejection, And The Word No.

"No", a two letter word that we all fear. We are all guilty of this. Ever put off a phone call, maybe to your boss? Maybe your significant other? Maybe you didn't look at that house or that car? You feared them saying, "no <insert name here>, you cannot afford/do that" Face it, we all fear rejection. We all have the nagging feeling of a situation turning south.

We need to get out of the malicious mindset that everyone in the world is out to get us. The mindset that we are going to fail, be rejected and be told no. Am I saying, you'll always be told yes? Absolutely not. You will be told No, quite a lot. The mindset you have, going into a situation is how you get through it.
Imagine, you're with someone about to propose. And they simply say "no". I've had this happen to me, it's been about 4 years almost. My mindset at the time wasn't the greatest. But, I learned from that. I've matured. I've come to the realization, when a situation arises for rejection, when someone has an opportunity to shatter your dreams with a 'NO' you must get into THIS mindset.
Say you're going for a big job interview, now you aren't the best candidate on paper. There are many more qualified people applying. But you WANT that shit more. You prove with body language, and attitude that you're their best choice. You simply say "fuck it". You get in the mindset that they NEED you, not the other way around. You get in the mindset that if they reject you, if they say no, that's their loss.. Fuck it.
You'll find another job, another car. Hell another woman. They're plentiful in the world. But, there is only ONE you. Own that shit. Own yourself, take charge and simply fuck everything. There are no bad days, only bad mindsets. There is always a silver lining. Always a reason to be thankful, get in the mindset things could be worse off. Get out of your head and into your emotions. Control them, do not let them control you and your actions.
Boss won't give you a raise, and you've been there 20 years, but Mr. Brown noser gets one only after 2 years? Fuck it, you leave that job. You don't take shit from anyone. You only get one life. Do you want to spend it in a cubical making someone else rich? Making them money?
The greatest success in life is to die doing what you love.
Look at the crocodile hunter? Many would say he lived a short life. But he lived more each time he went out, than most do in their lifetime. What is your goal? Your dream? To skydive? Do it. To lift 1,500lbs from the floor? To clean and snatch 900lbs? Do that shit. You live life with the mentality, that it isn't always sunshine and fucking rainbows. You won't always hear yes, but if you love your life you'll live everyday. If you love your job, if you love the word NO, and realize that no is a blessing in disguise sometimes you'll live the perfect life.
Think, maybe that no from one job is to set up your dreams for another?
Blessings in disguise.
Embrace the "NO".

You Are Not Who You Think You Are.

So often, we want to identify ourselves with a certain aspect of the world. Or, of life in general. We want to feel like we belong, like we are important to something. We want to BE things, we want people to KNOW we are those things. That, is where so many of us go wrong. We want to identify with things we think will make us feel whole. All the while, it is imprisoning us even further. We strive to become something when, in reality, we are everything we need to be. At this very exact moment in time, you have the tools you need to succeed in anything you choose. But, do not identify yourself as those things. Do not let the things you do, define who or what you are.

I myself, do not identify myself as anything. I am not a man, nor am I a woman. I am not a human, nor am I an alien. I am neither alive, nor dead. I just am. I am here, in this moment as a sentient being of a planet, so vast and so versatile, that I can do anything I choose to do. We simplify the world so much, that our technological advances will be our downfall. Sure, it's nice to pick up a computer or a phone and talk to people globally. I mean, millions of years ago, the only people you thought existed were those who you were raised with. But now, we have access to BILLIONS of others. We have the power, to go anywhere and do anything. We have cars, planes, helicopters, boats and trains. You name it, we can travel on or in it. Yet, we shut ourselves down. We shut out the world, and destroy our means of survival.

Many people, think the President is a higher power because of him being in a position of power. The same goes for law enforcement and others of a "higher ranking". Those, are all social marks we put on the people who have done things with their lives. Is it good, to be in a position of power? Yes, in some aspects. But, it is when you let yourself become that power and that power define you that you have a problem. Do not, think for a moment that you are better than I or anyone else just because you have a "higher" social ranking. It goes back to high school. Or ever further back, to adolescence. Even your birth day. When we are born, we are automatically imprisoned into this world. We are given a number, that defines our every waking moment. Our whole being is categorized by a number.

Furthermore, when we grow older and are able to start moving around. We are told "no" the infamous word heard world wide. You ask something, "no" you are told. You want something, "no" you are told. You are told you are a bad child, when you throw a tantrum. You are told it is WRONG to express your emotions. Another prison. The inability to express your true feelings. So you grow older, and you begin using the word NO. Many parents, and non parents alike, know that world. A child says it all the time. It is what they are taught from day 1. But, they are punished for it. Scolded and put in a "time out" because of using it. But, the parents and adults alike still tell the child "no". "I'm hungry mommy/daddy". The response? "No, you just ate 2 hours ago you'll be fine".

You are told, what you like. Why you like. Who you like. What to wear. When to eat. What to eat. What to do. What to say. How to say. How to act. You don't run your life as a child. And this progresses into school. You are told all those things and more. You eat at certain times. You can only play at certain times. You are told how you must dress in "public". You are told when and how to talk. You SIT there all day, 8 hours, in a classroom. Learning things out of a book, that others tell you is the "right thing". And this progresses into middle school.

The rules get stricter. The world buckles down on you. It has to right? Or else, you'd be completely out of control. Am I right? Or, is this just a teaching we use to further imprison people? The older we get, the longer we sit. In school, we lose the ability to go outside. So we are stuck, sitting all day. We grow older. and reach high school. And, this trend progresses. We are told, you must dress proper. To act proper. To talk properly and sit more. Sit, sit, sit and more sitting. We are told to get a job, A job, where most of us sit. Or we slave away at something that makes us unhappy. We are told this is our JOB, our PLACE to do these things. Only because if we fail to do so, we are labeled as "not fit" for society.

Now, am I saying that having a job is bad? By no means am I saying that. I, also, am not saying that we do not need to WORK. We simply don't need a "job". You must work on yourself, you must work for the world. Not, for a company nor for an organization that does not better YOU. Why slave away years of your limited life, for someone or something that does not make you happy. You make them happy everyday. You make them money, they are living the high life. While you live paycheck to paycheck. Thinking, that is your only means of income. When in reality, your TRUE income is how you pay yourself. How you pay your body. How you choose to pay your soul, you are entitled to whatever you want for your mind. You have a plethora of information, information not seen for millions of years by so many, with the internet now you can make yourself knowledgeable in anything you choose. Why do you choose social media? Why do you choose to do things that make you unhappy? There is a world of things, that can fulfill your wildest ambitions.

Do not, identify yourself as anything. You are not your job. You are not your music. You are not the way you dress. Nor how you act, how you feel. You are not the title you hold. You are not any better than anyone or anything else. You are simply, you. Free yourself from this fucking prison. Do not be held back, from your true purpose in life. So many years have passed us all by. How old are you? That's how long you've been in a prison. For me, that was 23 years. No more though. Do not worry about hurt feelings. Do not cry over spilled milk. A wolf, does not  concern himself with the opinions of sheep. BE that Lion. Be the leader of your own life. Break out of the prison, that is holding your life back.

  Be your true purpose.

The Greatest Deception Of The Modern Era

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"  That seems to be the age old question, asked to kids of all age. The funny thing? Most adults still cannot answer that question, nor can they say they are doing what they intended with their lives. Sad, isn't it?
You may be one of them, sitting there and thinking to yourself "WHAT do I really want to do with my life?"  I know, because I was at that point in my life not to long ago myself. Depressed, daily, no motivation and no care for the future. I thought to myself, "what is the point? Nothing ever goes right anyways". But, maybe the veil is so far over our eyes that we just cannot see what we need to. We cannot see what life has in store for us, if we just stray from the social norms.
Oh, you know exactly what I am talking about. It's imprinted upon us from birth. To "follow in the footsteps of the great ones".  At 4 years old we start going to school, we do 15 years of schooling. The next step is college, which is usually 4 years sometimes upwards of almost 10 for some. And all you get is a piece of paper showing you now have $100,000 in debt. Next up, is the job. You have to get one of those, god forbid you enjoy your life. Most of the time it isn't even in the field of work you went to college for. You work for a corporation that can and WILL drop you at the drop of a hat. For seemingly no reason, other than to "cut costs". Then what? No job, wife leaves you and you wind up homeless with nothing in the world except yourself.
Now, those lucky ones, who keep that job. Go to it everyday, but are they so lucky after all? Back pains, countless ailments and diseases. Poor diets, and lack of motivation. Doughnuts and coffee every morning, just for their pick me up. Some junk for lunch, and a quick dinner scarfed down in front of the T.V. so they can rush to bed and get their 5 average hours of sleep. Don't forget their hectic lives with the kids schedule, that they are always stressed about. Eventually, they reach retirement age. Ah, the golden years have passed. With little to show, hardly seeing their kids grow up because of grueling hours at the office. Wife cheating on them, because they're too tired to pleasure her. And when they do, finally get to that moment, he can't get it up.
Fast forward, he saved so much for his pension. Finally able to retire. How does he spend his days? Not for fun, or entertainment. Not spent with his wife, he now has a growing ignominy for her. So he sleeps his days away, when he isn't going to countless doctors appointments. All those years of heartburn, and popping pills has given him many medical problems. And, the misses is no different. Living out the rest of their days ignoring each other for the most part, him napping and her never doing anything right to him. Until one day, something tragic happened to one of them.
Now, say Mr. Smith shall we call him? Mr. Smith, is the first to go. Mrs. Smith lives her life out in sorrow until one of her countless diseases takes her. Now, the kids they birthed fall into the same trap. Living their lives out in quite the same manner. The saddest part? This is the social norm, now days. The timeline for "success" goes a little like this:
-Go to school for 15 years.
-Go to college.
-Get a job.
-Save for retirement.
-Retire.
-Die.
Sounds pretty damn boring to me. Sounds like the easy way out. The great deception making everyone believe in this fallacy of the "American Dream". A dream evolved over time, into something most people settle for. The American dream, use to be to live a happy healthy life with your family. Spending days working, not only on yourself or your house, but also on your family. So many now days, lose not only themselves but also their families and friends in not the pursuit of happiness, no in the pursuit of money. The pursuit of fame. We have evolved into a selfish self centered race of beings. But, selfishness is not always bad, considering though that most people now days are more selfish than selfless I fear for our future if we keep this pace up.
I fear, of a future where the man next to you cannot be trusted. Where, family cannot support family. Once trusted individuals, now stab you in the back for litter better than to relish in their own fame and fortune. We sacrifice what we most need, for what we most want. Am I telling you, to give up on your dreams? NO, not exactly, in fact I am telling you the opposite! Follow your dreams! Follow that which is in your heart, and don't ever give up nor give in. But heed this warning, do not give up the things that mean most in your life. Do not give up your heart, for anything. You own that, own yourself and never give your true self up. Always be you.
If you aren't happy with your life, quit your job. Follow your dreams, follow what is in your heart. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Stop falling into the pit of despair and fucking do something about it. If you're happy living out your days like detailed about, fuck you. You are why, this world is how it is. You are how come future generations will peril to the mundane 9-5 lifestyle.
But, if you want to change. You go and grab life by the balls. You go and change yourself.
Be bigger, be better, be stronger. Never stop evolving. Never give up.

The Important Role of Time Management.

You will hear me repeat this phrase over and over again, "86,400 seconds is all we get per day." Because, that is the cold hard truth we get 24 hours per day to manifest our dreams into reality. The most successful people have mastered this art. The art that is time management. Those such as Elliott Hulse, Tony Robbins, Oprah, and others alike, have all mastered the art of time management. You see, managing time is the hardest but most resourceful thing to creating your image and business. You can go far as back as to say those such as Vincent Van Gough, and Nostradamus to see just how well time management can work in your favor.

All great artists, historians and musicians alike use time management on their side. All of the successful people know that there is a fine line that distinguishes between work and pleasure. You have to manage your time so that you can get the best of both worlds. Not only will you get more work productivity accomplished, you will have more time to relax and recharge. Ask any person who has gotten success, and they will tell you the easiest way to become successful is to manage your time spent doing things. Cut your time down. Stop and take a 15 minute break if it seems that your task is becoming so daunting that you are dragging ass on it. Go for a walk to recharge your batteries, get some sunlight. Meditate, or practice yoga. Make sure to have yourself a good solid workout routine. Sleep regularly, weather or not 8 hours is on the agenda matters not, Make sure you keep a sleep schedule that is coherent to your goals.

You make life work around you, not the other way around. If you have work, school, the gym, a family, you make it all work together. You find a way to incorporate as much as you can into as little time as possible. Find a shorter, but more effective workout to do at the gym. Choose to get more done at work in a shorter time, so that you can spend the down time working on yourself. If your goals is to work from home, and manage your own business. Start now, and get your presence known. What you want to do, will determine your next moves. Whatever your niche, find all forums on that subject. Join them, begin integrating yourself into the community. Build your social status, build your name. Grow your business around that. Become a part of the community you wish to thrive in, and your following will grow before your business even begins to take off.

"Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach."- Tony Robbins.

Tony said it best, be committed but flexible. Flexibility is the ultimate tool in an arsenal when building yourself and your brand. Life will happen, and things will arise. You must be able to adapt to those things, and allow life to become your tool. You must allow life, to be subservient to you. You control life, and you control time. In the end, you will master anything you set your mind after. Go out, become the next Van Gough, the next Bach, the next Kobe Bryant, Kurt Warner, Adrian Peterson, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the next Brad Pitt, the next Tony Robbins. Go out, manage your time correctly. And you will gain everything you have ever wanted. I will explain more in detail on time management in my next book I am working on. Look for it in the next couple of weeks.
Until tomorrow,
Corey.

The Basics: Calories, Carbs, Fats & Proteins.

As you sit there, you find yourself wanting to lose weight. More so, lose fat. You've tried everything. Every weightloss and fatloss pill known to man. The atkins diet, every diet you've heard of. You even went as far as to making yourself not eat for weeks at a time, because, well let's face it. No food=No Fat, right?
Nothing could be further from the truth. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to survive.
Now, that isn't saying that fasting, isn't useful. Even Intermittent Fasting, (fasting for certain hours/eating for certain said hours).
We will touch on that in a different post.

Today I want to highlight the basics:

-Calories
-Fats
-Carbohydrates
-Proteins

These are all key factors in determining your body composition, and exactly how your body functions.
Now, just a disclaimer. I take a different approach to this than most. Because I have different beliefs, the research is all there. Most call this "low carb" Some call it "paleo dieting" It is simply known as, going primal. Being in touch with your primal instincts and primal ancestors.

With that being said, here is how I break it down.

So, protein is a major role. It helps build muscle, and regulate your body. Helps you recover and get stronger. It released the anabolic hormones inside your body. Protein is the key to either fat loss or muscle gains.
Our ancestors ate a lot of protein, but also they ate it when they could get it. Sometimes days at a time without a bite. We of course, go to the stores and buy frozen packaged meats. That are so pumped with chemicals, it is hardly meat anymore. Our ancestors, of course hunted for their food daily. That is how they stayed active. It was either, hunt or be hunted. Needless to say, when they got meat they gorged. Protein is one of the building blocks of a nutritious and healthy life.

You want to get grass fed meats, such as: Beef, Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Bison, Venison, etc. Turkey too, but fatty meat is where you should look, I will explain why later.
You don't want too much protein, but don't want too little. I usually have a big helping of meat, and some nuts and what not. It usually gives me enough protein to sustain my body. You don't exactly NEED 300 grams of protein, save that for the ones injecting the steroids (not saying I am against that).
Your body will do just fine with 100-150 grams.

Now fats, well fats are essential for life. Good fats and bad fats. You want quality fats, animal fats. Or fats like coconut oil, and olive oil, or advacadoes, anything but processed junk. The fats you get from a box of food, has no nutritional values. Anything packaged and riddled with chemicals, and preservatives is simply, not food anymore it is so altered. Buy whole foods. "organic foods"

I quote that term, because it aggravates me.
"organic" like it is suppose to be different.
"organic food" is what our parents and parents parents and those before them called, real food.
Just food. That is what they ate daily. Because, the chemicals just weren't there.
Look for grass fed "organic". They must put a label on the shit that is good for you. So look for those labels, is it a little more? Sure, but cancer is expensive too. So is heart disease, diabetes, and multiple medications from multiple doctors.
What path do you want? choose wisely. Because you only get this one life.
Anyways, back on topic.

Carbohydrates:
Ah, these things are tricky. We have simple and complex carbs. Some that are fast and some that are slow.
They all turn to glucose in the blood and the body. Yet, the type, depends on how your body reacts.
If you eat, a whole bowl of potatoes and some sugar cookies. Sure you'll get the same amount of carbs as say, two or three bags of broccoli. But, broccoli effects the body in a different way. Not only does it have a whole host of other nutrients, your body can absorb the carbs better. The potatoes and cookies(which are riddled with additives and chemicals) will turn to glucose, or sugar faster. Not to mention those pesky grains, (there they are again)
Those things, that man ate for, tens of thousands of years before us. And, they were healthy. They lived, virtually disease free.

These things (grains) lead to so many problems,
digestive problems, stomach problems, they're hard on our bodies. On our organs, and on our  brains (yes, they fog our brains).
Plus, they leave you hungry for more.
Try and eat a whole meal loaded with carbs,
fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn (yes, corn is a grain, funny right?), and some pie for desert (I quite enjoy some apple pie though, well use to)
And tell me, if you aren't hungry an hour or so later, if not sooner. (go on, report back to me, if you aren't.. congratulations) most people will keep scarfing their faces till they almost puke.
Candy, chips, bread, corn, potatoes, pre packaged meals, breaded foods, friend foods.
They all are haphazardly eaten and thrown into the mouths of people. They don't see the negative effects until it's too late.

You could eat a whole bag of candy and still be hungry, They are empty calories.
Sugar and carbs. They do nothing for your body, when you shovel in a three musketeers, or a milky way. Why do you think they have the chips and candy at every register?
It's a marketing ploy to sell more, "oh I will get a quick snack for the road" You eat it and 15 minutes later, you're hungry.
AND WORSE OFF, they actually advertise some on the tv, (not saying names *cough* Snickers *cough*) As curbing your hunger. It's asinine.

Okay, Rant over.
As I was saying, Grains= BAD, avoid them.
Eat a diet rich in  animal fat and protein, nuts, fruit and berries (sparingly) lots of veggies (green is best) but a variety of colored veggies is key.
Drink plenty of water (but don't over drink, just when you're thirsty) and just keep active.

Calories: before I forget, a calorie isn't just a calorie.
They effect the body differently, 100 calories of spinach, will greatly be treated differently by the body than 100 calories of bread or of those "100 calorie snacks"
It's all marketing.

Speaking of marketing, tune in tomorrow, Where I pick apart the supplement companies. Bit by bit.

Late Night Ramblings of A Conscious Mind.

3 A.M. The witching hour, when it is said demons, ghosts and all things that go bump in the night are suppose to roam free and be at their most powerful. According to folklore this time originally was 12 A.M. but progressed to the 3 A.M. time we now have. All things weird, always happen around this time of night, as do all things powerful. Many fear the witching hour, some embrace it. The fear comes from the unknown, we all fear the unknown. Talking to new people. Trying to close a business deal. First dates. School tests. Driving for the first time. There are many things we fear, because of not knowing what could happen.

I urge you to tap into your inner child. Think back to when you were a child. Fear of the unknown, but that fear didn't stop you did it? You feared what would happen if you started to crawl, but you crawled. You feared to walk, but you began to walk. You feared the baby food, you but you ate it. You feared some of the foods that were presented to you, but you ate them. You feared running for the first time, but you ran. You feared going to the bathroom by yourself, but you did it. You must tackle all of life like you are still a child. Running into the unknown, fearless. Running into the unknown, and tackling it head on.

We cower in our rooms, our homes, our places of work. We fear the unknown, because we have adapted this fear out of emotional responses over our years on this earth. We develop these things, as defenses against that which could possibly hurt us. The truth of it is, you are going to get hurt. Sometimes, you are going to get hurt a lot. It will hurt, and some pain will seem like it will never go away. You may fear the unknown, or you may fear the known. What has happened in the past can plague us daily. We think that each situation can have the same outcome. I know that, because I was just like you. I thought this way for YEARS upon YEARS. In fact, I thought this way for over 10 years. You, you will stop today.

You are the gate keeper to the mental fucking prison you are in. The mental prison society has given us. "Sit down and shut the fuck up" they say. "Fall in line." They tell you. Grow up, go through school, go to college, get a job, it'll all be alright! FUCK THAT. Pave your own path, find your own way. Grab the key from those greedy bastards and unlock that prison you've been locked in. Quit the job you hate. Leave the nagging relationship that you get nothing from. Distant yourself from people who take and never give. Break free from the damn prison your mind is locked up in. Get away from societies view of the perfect life. Live your own perfect life. Break free from the habits designed by society. Break free from all that is holding you back.

You are your own worst enemy. You are the only one who can change your life. These people, who try to install authority over your life. Make you fall in line, like the rest of the good sheep. Do not let them do it. Break free from the chains and the bond. Emotion, they say it's not normal. Adults shouldn't scream, shouldn't cry. Adults shouldn't have emotion. I say scream your fucking lungs out! Cry! Laugh! Have a good time and be human. Be free, be the person you were intended to be. Stop fearing the unknown, stop letting them be in control.

Go into the unknown, slap fear in the face.
Go into the unknown, and scream.
Go into the unknown, and live.

That's all for now, bedtime for me.
Check back tomorrow, for the morning post.
Until then, stay free,
Corey.

So, You Want to Lose Weight?

Simple, right?
Eat as little food as you can. Near none, just eat some a tiny little bit of food daily. And watch the pounds just melt off.
Wrong. Eating no food, will actually have the negative effect. You can actually GAIN weight.
I know, I know most of you are probably screaming at your screens right now.
Holding your heads already, not getting it.

Your body, is a very complex structure. Yet it is so simple to change.
The formula in its most simplistic form is as follows:
Calories in<Calories out.

There is a difference with, "weight loss" and "fat loss".

Our aim, is for fat loss.

Some Basic Terminology for along the way:

1). BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate): The base amount of calories, you would need if in a comatose state, to maintain your body composition.
2). NEAT (Non-Exercise Associated Thermogenesis): Calories burned by non exercise activities (washing dishes, walking, talking, etc). Also called incidental exercise, something everyone has a good amount of control over.
3). EAT (Exercise Associated Thermogenesis): Calories from planned exercised.
4). TEF (Thermic effect of feeding): Calorie expenditure associated with eating.
5). TEE (Total Energy Expenditure): The total calories you require, basically to live and be healthy.

In a more complex form, here is the formula to use as a measure on how to lose fat:

BMR= 370 + (21.6 x LBM) Where LBM = [Total weight (kg) x (100 - Bodyfat %)]/100

LBM=Lean Body Mass.

Now, in order to decide what you need total, you must factor in your Activity level:

This is your TOTAL COST OF LIVING, NOT just TRAINING:

1.2= Sedentary (desk job and light exercise)
1.3-1.4= Lightly active (light daily activity, and light exercise 1-3 days)
1.5-1.6= moderately active (moderate daily activity and moderate exercise 3-5 days)
1.7-1.8= Very active (Physically demanding lifestyle and hard exercising 6-7 days a week)
1.9-2.2= Extremely Active (Athlete in endurance training or a VERY HARD and physical job)

You Take your BRM x Your activity level.
To get your total required calories.

Now, in order to lose weight, you take and minus 20% from that, and eat those calories.
Eat that for 2 weeks, if no loss, re-calculate and minus a tad more.
Never got below 1500 for men, and 1200 for women,
not for a prolonged time.

That is the basics for now.
I will get more in detail about macronutrients(Carbs, Fats, Protein)
What role they play, and how much of each you should be eating.
