A Letter To The Lost..

Right now you are on a road in life, there is always a road being traveled. Now that might be a dirt road, a gravel road, maybe it is a road in the country or a road in a big city. Maybe that road is blacktop, a highway or a county road. Maybe that road is 4 lanes or 2 lanes. Whatever it may be, you are on a road. Where are you going? What does the horizon look like? What is behind you? What surrounds you? Do you notice anything along your path?

Imagine you find a bowl along the path. How big is the bowl? What is the bowl bade of? How full is it? Do you keep this bowl or do you drop it and leave it? When you see the bowl, how do you feel?

You walk more on this road, and notice a key hanging off a tree or a sign. What kind of key is it? What is it made of? How much does it weigh? Is it small, is it large? How connected do you feel to this key? As you progress on this road, do you decide to keep it or do you decide to leave it alone?

You now reach a fork in the road, to the right is the same path you've been on. But to the left, is a path you have yet to go down. Which way do you go? Which path do you choose to follow? The right or the left?

Whichever path chosen above, leads you to a house. This house is surrounded by a fence, how does this fence look? What material is it made of? What about the outside of the house? What does it look like? How many stories is it? Is it a big house or a small house?

Go to the door, is it unlocked? Is it locked? Did you keep that key from earlier? Go inside, what does it look like inside? Does the outside reflect what the inside looks like? Or is the inside completely different? What is the atmosphere like inside? Is it full inside? Or is it void of furniture?

Leave the house now, and go back to the road. Do you go back the way you came? Or do you decide to go on, into the unknown?

You may be asking me what all this has to do with? You may even be confused at this point. Let me explain:

The road symbolizes the life you have lived up until now.
The bowl is your feelings about money.
The key is your feelings on success.
The fence is how you set the boundaries in your life.
The outside of the house is how you present yourself onto others.
The inside of the house is your real (true) self.
The road is how far you can go into the future(life).

How did you fare? Is there anything you wish to change? Are you happy with your results? This all may not make sense at first glance. If not, I urge you to go back and re-read it. Really think about your decisions. Life is all about decisions. You choose your own destiny, your own path is carved by each and every choice you make in your life. You choose your road, you choose how much you want to fill your bowl up, weather you want the key or not, how you fence yourself off, how you present yourself to others, you choose how far you can go in life. The only thing we cannot change, is who we are. Our (true) self. We can only carve around that. We make choices based off who we are.

What choices have you made thus far in your life? Are you happy with them? Why or why not? Why did you make those choices? Were they your choices? Or did someone else influence them? You see, life is all about the decisions we make. The choices we choose to pursue. What road are you traveling right now? If you don't like it, CHANGE IT. You have the power within you to change every single thing in your life. From the people who occupy your time, to your happiness. Follow your primal instincts. Take what you want from life. The job, TAKE IT. The girl, TAKE IT. The success, TAKE IT. Do not let anyone or anything stand in your path, bust through the walls, jump over the hurdles and continue down that road to success..

Stay positive, and keep it real.

Self Reflection and Self Healing

Good afternoon everyone. I wasn't able to get my videos uploaded this morning or last night, but I can't leave you hanging without a blog post. I have been in deep contemplation these last few months, and it has brought me to this point. Self reflection and self help. These are two of the most important things one can do for themselves.

A few months ago I was cast into a world of deep depression and anxiety. My world was flipped upside down, and just a month ago it came to a screeching halt. These past weeks, have been hard. And I myself have done quite a bit of soul searching, and self reflection. Sometimes, you don't need others to help you. You don't need someone to hold your hand, what you need is yourself. To self reflect and to search for your soul, your inner power to get yourself through the troubling times you are facing. You see, when we are faced with these times of peril, we often go about it the wrong way and we end up doing more self damage than self healing.

   When I got cast into my deep depression, I took a step back from the world. From friends, and family. I took a step back from everything I was doing and I worked on helping myself and healing. Some things I recommend doing;

-Meditation:
Meditation can help you to calm your mind and get the mental clarity to stop obsessing over your situation. Meditation can help you align your thoughts and your mental state to be more relaxed and be more calm about what's going on. Deep, relaxing meditation is a self healing method that has been used for thousands of years, and I recommend doing this first and foremost when you wake up to start your day off in a calm state.

-Walking:
Not only is taking a walk good for clearing your mind, it is good for your health also. Walking gives your heart the exercise it needs to function properly. It also helps your lungs, by breathing in the fresh air. Also, being outside in the sun gives you adequate vitamin D levels, which helps reduce depression and anxiety. It is recommended to walk at least 30 minutes a day, I usually do this after my meditation.

-Drink some tea:
Seriously, brew you some green tea in the morning after your walk and sip you a glass. I choose this over coffee most mornings, because it has antioxidants as well as flavonoids that help balance your bodies natural immune system. Green tea also has less caffeine than coffee, caffeine is a good pick me up but too much can be detrimental. I usually have between 3 to 6 cups of tea a day, the green tea is only in the mornings though ( I will write another blog post soon about the different  teas I drink).

-Tai Chi:
I practice Tai Chi in the mornings to help my body move more fluidly and un-tense my body. I use about a 4-10 minute routine just to get the blood flowing. There are various videos and various sources you can find online for routines to follow.

-Stretching/foam rolling/bioenergetics:
I have talked on bioenergetics before. I learned about it through Elliott Hulse, and it is a good way to energize your body and your mind. I usually start by stretching for a bit, just intuitive stretching and feeling where my body needs it. After that I start my foam rolling routine that usually takes about an hour. After that, I do some bioenergetics, and begin my day after all of the aforementioned. I recommend searching for bioenergetics on YouTube, to get more information about it. The videos will show you the proper techniques on how to perform it on yourself.

That is my daily routine usually. and it has helped me keep on track and get out of my deep pit I was in. I learned to love myself more, and I learned to rely on myself not other people. That is the key to eternal happiness, and the key to making it through hard times. When you are faced with a troubling time, take a step back. Take some YOU time and reflect on what the situation is about. See what you could do NOW not what you could have done THEN. You cannot see a future, with eyes constantly on the past. You need to live in the now, and self heal.

I find myself often drawn to nature, and the woods in times of peril. Being out with nature can help you really put life into perspective. Going barefoot, and grounding yourself with the earth in the grass for 15-30 minutes a day can aid in anti-depression, anti-anxiety, and help you sleep better at night. I try to go barefoot everywhere I go, and when I cannot I throw on my Vibram Five Fingers or flip flops and get as barefoot as possible.

Sometimes you need to shut the lights off, put the electronics down and look up at the sky. Go out on a country road, or go to a field and look up at the stars. Look up and see the stars, the moon, the planets, and that will put life into perspective for you. I myself learned that my problems are minute, in comparison to the vast universe we live in.

Live happy.
Live well.
Do some self reflection.
Love yourself.

The Three Most Valuable Lessons I learned The Hard Way

What's going on today everybody? Long night last night getting my video on YouTube processed and up. So, it was a late start to today for me. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday and getting some much needed rest in like myself. I often find myself in deep contemplation on days like this. Slow days, the days that seem to drag on. I find those the best days to catch up on reading, do some deeper meditation than the other days of the week, try something I haven't tried before, go for a hike or a longer walk than usual. I find days like today, the perfect time to really live it up.

Wouldn't it be nice though, to live everyday that way? Waking up everyday without a care in the world? Waking up everyday and being able to work on yourself, work on your health and wellness. Working on your mental and physical and spiritual self. You can, and I'm about to tell you how.

You see, a few years ago I found myself interested into becoming my own boss. Not just becoming my own boss, but taking control over my entire life. I decided that I would wake up one day and use my voice to control my life. I made this blog, I made a YouTube channel, and I got some knowledge and became a certified life coach, and got into schooling for other things as well. I now wake up everyday, to better my life and better my future. I wake up as my own boss and I took my life back into my own hands. Now, that's not saying that I will not get a job. I need to get a job, this stuff just doesn't pay what I need. But, doing this is my passion. Find your passion. Take your life back from the corporate greed, take your life back into your own hands.

Three years ago, when I decided to take my life back I was grasping at every angle possible. I finally found my niche, I finally found what I loved to do. I love to motivate people. I love to heal people, emotionally and physically. I love nature and fitness. This is the avenue I took. Each day I wake up I work towards those goals. I work on my passion. I work on ME. That is the key to eternal happiness, work on YOU first, and the rest after. That is the most valuable lesson I have learned in these last three years. Take care of yourself first and foremost. Whatever that looks like for you, do it. If it means waking up 30 minutes earlier to get your walk in, or your meditation. If it means skipping the lunch with your coworkers to go and get a workout in or to go and get some stretching in or do something for yourself to better your life. It doesn't matter what you have to do to achieve that, it is the most valuable lesson you can learn.

Think of it this way, it may not make you the most popular person at work. But, you aren't there to win the popularity contest. You are there to do your work and get a paycheck right? If you lost it all right now, and you had nothing, who would be there for you? If the world was falling apart, would those people who you try to impress be there? Fuck no! You would be there though, always take care of yourself first. Always make time for yourself. That goes for any situation, weather work, friendships or relationships. So many of these things fail, because every party involved does not make time for themselves. With that being said, I am not saying ignore everyone else. Simply put, work on yourself before you think you can work on someone else. If you make no time for yourself, your relationships, can crumble without you even knowing why.

The second most valuable lesson I learned; always let your walk do the talking for you. A lot of people can talk the talk, but can they really walk the walk? You will have a ton of naysayers, no matter what you do or where you go with it. From teachers, to doctors all the way to personal trainers and even being a parent. You will always have people who talk shit, and downgrade you. DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE PEOPLE. That is rule one. They want that, to bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Instead, let your actions, let your walk do the talking for you. If your actions cannot do the talking for you, than that is something you must analyze on your own personal level. Actions speak way louder than words ever could.

Don't let those who wish to bring you down, bring you down through negativity. Let those negative comments fuel you. People will talk bad about that which they don't understand, it is human nature. Let them talk, they talk all the talk they can because at the end of the day they cannot walk the walk like you and I can. Let these haters fuel your fire and your desire. If someone truly does back your cause, or what you do, their actions will speak into you more than their words do. They can say that they support you all they want. Are they commenting and giving you constructive criticism, or good vibes? Are they sharing your word or services with their friends and acquaintances? If they say they support you, but do none of these, than what support are they giving you? Trust actions, NOT words.

That brings me to my final valuable lesson I learned. Your consequences are a direct result of your own actions. That is a bitter and tough pill to swallow for some. It was for me at first. I was the type, like a lot of others, to blame my results on someone else. I always laid the blame on someone else for my own actions. There is a level of maturity one will reach, when faced with their own consequences and they can say "This is my fuck up, and mine alone". We must realize, that no one else makes these choices for us. They may influence what we do, but when it gets down to the core of it you are the only one making the decision. Not them, not anyone but yourself. We need to learn, and quit laying blame on others when shit doesn't work out. When a relationship goes south, both sides argue that it was the other person but fail to see their own misgivings. When you lose your job, it is always the bosses fault for "having it out for you". Car breaks down, and it is the manufactures fault, not the fact that you didn't put oil in it fir 6 months or put gas in it when it needed it.

That's it you guys, those are the three most valuable lessons I have learned so far. There are more, but these three are the ones that resonate most with me. Work on yourself first, let your walking do your talking for you and keep your consequences on yourself not others. That's it. With those three lessons, you can be as successful as you want to be. I myself learned these lessons the hard way. I have loved and lost, and I have had people walk out of my life simply because I was being an egotistical prick. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Don't be an asshole, and tune in tomorrow for some more motivation.

The Do's and Do Not's of Fat Loss.

We were all there once. Looking in the mirror, wanting to change. But not really knowing how. We over complicated it. And we stress our selves out. We hop on the scale, and frown when it says we actually GAINED weight. And we scream "HOW CAN THAT BE I HAVE BEEN ON KEY ALL WEEK". Well. In this article I will tell you a few key Do's and Do Not's for your fat loss journeys.

-DO: Eat Clean "Organic" Foods:
I cannot stress this point enough. Just eat food, nothing processed. No grain infused frozen meals. Animals, and plants. That is all. No corn or grains. No starchy carbs like potatoes. Just eat an abundance of plants and some animals for protein.

-DO NOT: Over complicate things:
Just do it, don't think too hard. Don't weigh yourself everyday. You'll only psych and stress yourself out. And stress, will make you retain and even gain weight. Just, do what you're suppose to and look in the mirror, measure your waist. And if they don't go down, change your diet. Train harder. Do something different. It's nice to see weight go down, but on any given day your weight can fluctuate 3-5lbs. It's usually water weight. So don't stress those few pounds heavier you are. Also, you have to factor in muscles, if you are strength training. As you can see, the scale can be your worst enemy on any fat loss venture.

-DO: Train hard:
Give it your all, no matter what you're doing. Weather it is a lifting program, a body weight program. Or if you're just starting out and you're walking. Just give it your all. Don't give up. In the words of the late Master Yoda. "Do or Do Not, there is no Try/" And that is so true, you either do it, or you don't. There is no "trying to do" something. Because if you wanted it bad enough, you would just fucking do it. No complaints, no whining, no "I'll do it tomorrow," Or "I'll do it monday, it's good to start on the first of a week". Who the hell gave you that stupid ass idea? I don't care if it is, 3 a/m/ and you are sitting there and you get that twinge of something deep within you, you want to change. Don't say "I will do it in the morning" You want results, put in the fucking work. You get your ass up off the couch THAT NIGHT, and you go for a walk before bed. I don't care what time it is. If you want it done, do it/ Quit eating those foods, quit drinking that soda. I believe in each and every one of you. So believe in your damn self for once. Because I did it, I lost 115lbs. Not because I "did it on Monday" I looked in the mirror, and said "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO YOURSELF" and I made that change. I know you can too.

-DO NOT: Let people bring you down:
Don't let someone bring you down. You're in a good mood, working out. You're eating better. Granted, maybe not as good as you should. But you dropped the soda, and got to walking and stuff. And BAM, you hear someone whisper "damn that guy/girl is so fat why are they even trying?" Or maybe someone isn't noticing your weight loss, or how good you're doing. So you go back to your comfort. You binge, you eat so much till you get to the point of being sick. You get depressed, and you don't want to move on. You go back to your old habits. NO, YOU DON'T. You look them in the eyes, and say "FUCK YOU" because you're doing what YOU know is right. What helps YOU in YOUR life. Not theirs. If you're doing it right. Putting in the hard work, and you are seeing even small changes. You KEEP DOING IT. Despite what anyone says. Because, they don't see your struggle. They don't even know you. They just speculate based on what they perceive. So be strong. Do not, let uneducated people bring down your mood. You're doing this for you, keep at it and one day you'll laugh in their face when they haven't achieved their goals, and you have.

-DO: Write it down:
Everything, yes I said it right, EVERYTHING. Every little morsel you eat. Weather it is a 12oz porterhouse. Or one cookie. Every calorie counts. And you'll be able to see, on those days you "cheat" and have a brownie or a piece of pie. How many calories over your goal you've went. How, empty those sugary concoctions are for your health. They're sugar and carbs, and all sorts of additives. So, skip those if you're looking for fat loss. Write down all the food you eat, the drinks you consume. Your morning coffee or green tea. Your afternoon sweet tea, or un-sweet if you're like me. Your dinner, every oz of that chicken or fish or whatever you fancy. You're at work and someone offers you a piece of their food, say, fried chicken. And you haven't had any for a while, so  you think, sure why not? WRITE IT DOWN. That friend chicken leg, has many calories, probably over 100. So write it down. Those calories count. They all count. Also, write down your workouts. Log your reps and weight if you're strength or body weight training. If for 3 weeks, your weight hasn't increased or even decreased. Change something up. Don't idle in your workouts. Don't stall on your nutrition. Because those plateaus are hard to bust through. And you WILL hit one. Just don't be the cause of it. Do yourself a favor, and actually log every food item, every workout. And even your sleep schedule. It all effects your weight. Maybe something has been stressing you out lately? And your weight loss has stalled. BINGO, get rid of that stress. And just WRITE IT DOWN. Simple as that.

-DO NOT: Blame anyone but yourself:
That's right. I will probably get A LOT of people mad at me with this one. I don't care. The truth hurts. But fact is, you caused all of this. No one forced you to eat like you did. No one forced anything on you. I blamed a lot of things for how I was. My feet, because I couldn't do the things I liked. My dad for leaving us. I blamed it on a lot. But it was all a sweet comforting lie, to help myself justify how I was. No one forced me to eat in abundance, or to not be active. I did that to myself. No one forced me to drink ever single day. Or pop pills. I chose that life. To ease the pain, when I could have as easily just got my ass up and did something about it. Instead I numbed myself, and I numbed the pain. It did't go away. No, I covered it up. That is the WRONG way to go about things. Don't blame your parents, your environment, your school, the other kids, don't blame the commercials, or Mc Donalds for being so bad for you. Just don't. No one forced your hand. It was you. And only YOU can change yourself. Only YOU can do what needs to be done. On your own time. Don't do it for anyone else, nor wait for anyone else. If you don't like something, change it. You might not be able to do it overnight, the change. Because it has been ongoing for YEARS. But, you CAN do it. You just have to get your mindset into it. And BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Because you are capable of doing it, You didn't get this way overnight. You've eaten like this for years. Small baby steps. And, eventually you'll look back at the person you WERE and see the person you're designed to be. Because you're strong, you're powerful, mind body and spirit. So don't even think you can't and don't ever think, it isn't your fault because, ultimately it is. So change it.

-DO: Believe it is possible:
There are people worse off than you. There are people with various diseases and various different things wrong. Don't make the excuse that you "Can't" because you CAN. People do it everyday. People with so many problems do it. Physical and psychological diseases. They get it done. So you can too. No feat is too hard. No mountain too high. No path unable to be crossed. You can do what you set your mind to. If you give it your all, you'll get it all in return. Life works in mysterious ways. And sometimes it's hard. Sometimes, that light at the end of the tunnel seems SO far away. But, it's not. If you believe, you can achieve. You will never do anything, unless you can believe in yourself. Because, that is the ONE and ONLY person who matters in the end. Not the neighbor, not your significant other, not your parents or friends. Not that "guy/girl" you want to impress. You do this for YOU. You believe in YOU. It is possible, To quote the famous Spartacus, "Anything in this life is possible, if mind and heart are put towards it." Give it your all, your blood, your sweat, your tears, your mind and body. Your heart. Give it everything you got, and never give up. Never let life push you back harder than you can push it. Because, you're better than that. Better than someone so eager and willing to give up everything they've worked for. Believe it is possible, even when everyone and everything else tells you it isn't.

-DO NOT: Feel you have to compare yourself to others:
Everyone is different. We all have different bodies. Different levels of health and such. So it is normal, that someone else, who is the same weight as you, for them to lose it faster/slower than you. Because, we all have different DNA. While, it is all pretty cut and dry. The basics are the same. Calories in VS Calories out. But, everyone is different. So don't ever compare yourself to someone else. To someone who loses it faster than you. It will only stress you out. It will only make you want to give up. You will compete with them, even if not on purpose, subconsciously, and you will attempt to train like them. And only injure yourself. You will only give up, when you cannot do what they can. So, never compare yourself to another person. Because, you will only be discouraged.

The most important rule of any fatloss/nutritional/workout program, is to just do your best. That simple. Just give it your all. Don't be discouraged if someone else is more fit. Or if they are losing weight faster. Etc. Just do you. Don't compare yourself. Don't look in magazines, and say you want that body. Chances are, if/when, you get to that level of fitness, you will NOT look exactly like Arnold did when he did body building. Nor will you look like your favorite athlete. You will be you, but a stronger version of yourself. And that is what we all want to work for. To be stronger, fitter, faster, harder and all over healthier.

Keep doing what you do, keep being strong. And. being yourself. Don't listen to others, let the critics do what they do. And you do what you do. Because, you CAN do it. If you put your mind to it.

How do you identify yourself?

We all have our stories, we all have things that define us. That people think of us when they see it.
We have two choices, choose things that will make others adore you. Or choose things that will make others shy away from you. Do you want to be revered or do you want to bring about a negative presence?
Now, it is your life,  do whatever the fuck you wish, but I encourage you to choose option #1 over the latter. It all comes down to the question, "How do you wish to be remembeted?"  And the sad reality is, most of us won't make the impact on the world we should be.
Most of us settle, settle for that job, settle with that comfortable life. But, complain when things don't happen how we wanted.  You hear it time and time again. "I wish I would have done this" "I should have done that". And the later years of life, are filled with regret.
The saddest aspect,  is most people are okay with this.  They are okay with being a drone. Working the generic 9-5. They are okay with smashing their dreams into the back of reality. Not caring that they're living less than they deserve. They settle, for the mundane and the constant.
You see, most of us fear the unknown. Yet,  the unknown is what we already know. We just have to discover it ourselves. The unknown, is not scary. It is not to be feared. The unknown, to get uncomfortable,  is growth. Growth, means at some point you have suffered.  To live is to suffer,  to survive is the find meaning in the suffering.
You can either suffer, in suffering. Or you can suffer in success.
You choose.

Late Night Ramblings of A Conscious Mind.

3 A.M. The witching hour, when it is said demons, ghosts and all things that go bump in the night are suppose to roam free and be at their most powerful. According to folklore this time originally was 12 A.M. but progressed to the 3 A.M. time we now have. All things weird, always happen around this time of night, as do all things powerful. Many fear the witching hour, some embrace it. The fear comes from the unknown, we all fear the unknown. Talking to new people. Trying to close a business deal. First dates. School tests. Driving for the first time. There are many things we fear, because of not knowing what could happen.

I urge you to tap into your inner child. Think back to when you were a child. Fear of the unknown, but that fear didn't stop you did it? You feared what would happen if you started to crawl, but you crawled. You feared to walk, but you began to walk. You feared the baby food, you but you ate it. You feared some of the foods that were presented to you, but you ate them. You feared running for the first time, but you ran. You feared going to the bathroom by yourself, but you did it. You must tackle all of life like you are still a child. Running into the unknown, fearless. Running into the unknown, and tackling it head on.

We cower in our rooms, our homes, our places of work. We fear the unknown, because we have adapted this fear out of emotional responses over our years on this earth. We develop these things, as defenses against that which could possibly hurt us. The truth of it is, you are going to get hurt. Sometimes, you are going to get hurt a lot. It will hurt, and some pain will seem like it will never go away. You may fear the unknown, or you may fear the known. What has happened in the past can plague us daily. We think that each situation can have the same outcome. I know that, because I was just like you. I thought this way for YEARS upon YEARS. In fact, I thought this way for over 10 years. You, you will stop today.

You are the gate keeper to the mental fucking prison you are in. The mental prison society has given us. "Sit down and shut the fuck up" they say. "Fall in line." They tell you. Grow up, go through school, go to college, get a job, it'll all be alright! FUCK THAT. Pave your own path, find your own way. Grab the key from those greedy bastards and unlock that prison you've been locked in. Quit the job you hate. Leave the nagging relationship that you get nothing from. Distant yourself from people who take and never give. Break free from the damn prison your mind is locked up in. Get away from societies view of the perfect life. Live your own perfect life. Break free from the habits designed by society. Break free from all that is holding you back.

You are your own worst enemy. You are the only one who can change your life. These people, who try to install authority over your life. Make you fall in line, like the rest of the good sheep. Do not let them do it. Break free from the chains and the bond. Emotion, they say it's not normal. Adults shouldn't scream, shouldn't cry. Adults shouldn't have emotion. I say scream your fucking lungs out! Cry! Laugh! Have a good time and be human. Be free, be the person you were intended to be. Stop fearing the unknown, stop letting them be in control.

Go into the unknown, slap fear in the face.
Go into the unknown, and scream.
Go into the unknown, and live.

That's all for now, bedtime for me.
Check back tomorrow, for the morning post.
Until then, stay free,
Corey.

Speak Your Mind, Don't Mind Your Speak.

Fear of repercussion, fear of hurting feelings, fear of being opinionated. We mute ourselves, out of fear. We mute ourselves out of being scared, scared to be ourselves in a world where everyone wants to be the same. Everyone wants to be the next this or that, instead of being themselves. We look up to people, who talk a lot of shit. Yet, we won't do what those people do. The world is full of shit talkers, who speak their minds, and they make money doing it. They speak about what they want, without fear of repercussion, without fear of what others will think. What good is a life, if you have no voice? What good is freedom of speech, without exercising it?

Why do we censor ourselves for someone else's ignorant fucking mind? I do my best not to swear a lot, sure, just out of respect. That's my own reserve, not yours. Say what you want, when you want. People lose their voice, and let others talk for them. I know I have in the past. I let people dictate my life, my family and friends. I never listened to myself, my inner voice screaming at me to tell everyone to fuck off and shut up. I was scared, I was in fear of my life crumbling away because of my outspokenness. That, in fact hasn't happened. It's gotten so much, much, much better since I decided to push away the people who dictate the negativity in my mind. Those who plant the seeds of distrust and fear into my consciousness. I decided when enough was enough. Now it's your turn, tell those people who try to plant the negativity in your life and make you speak and live a life that you don't WANT to live, to go to hell. Live your life. Live it well. Live it like YOU want to live it. Live it with no reserve, with no fear of who's feelings you'll hurt. Never apologize for being yourself, for having your own opinion.

That being said, speaking your mind does come with some guidelines.
Just because you think something is right, does not MAKE it right. You reserve the right, to believe it is. As does the other person who thinks their way is right. You may speak your mind, as may someone else. This does not mean you resort to cussing them out, and belittling them. With great power comes great responsibility. Such as, with speaking your mind comes the ability to see others opinions and points of view. Does that mean you must accept it as truth? No, you can call bullshit all day. I am saying, from my experience, it is better to stay humble and to just agree to disagree.

What good does it do, yourself, that person and the world if you are screaming and hollering and cussing at each other about your opinions? It brings the very negativity that you were trying to get away from. So what someone else disagrees with you? Fuck it, that's their right. As it is yours to disagree with me, or anyone else. Shit, I disagree with half the shit I say sometimes. I'm just talking shit, and expressing my mind through my experiences. What I have read, what I have seen, experienced first hand, things I have learned in my studies, things I have been told and shown. It's all my point of view. Maybe, I might say something about life or religion, maybe something about health that you don't disagree with. You reserve the right to tell me I'm wrong. Maybe you'll even show me some evidence that proves me wrong. I will thank you, and move on.

It's humbling when you decide to just let things go. Don't be a push over, and let people disrespect you on and dictate your life. But, if someone disagrees with you let it be. Speak your mind. Speak it well. Be yourself in this world, where everyone wants to be the same. Follow your own path, not the path society has paved for us. Look at the path in front of you, and ask yourself these questions:

1. Who's path is this I am following at this very moment?
2. Do I speak my mind?
3. If #2 was yes, do people often dictate to me how to speak or that I shouldn't talk about the things I do?
4. If #3 was a yes, how do I react? Do I tell them it's my opinion that I am entitled to? Or, do I change myself to better their lives?

Look over your answers, and change your life to better yourself not someone else. You only get one life, you only get one shot at the moment you're living right now. Don't waste it answering to anyone else. Mostly, follow in the foot steps of all those successful people. Follow every comedian who was told they would never make it. Every actor or actress who was told Hollywood wasn't achievable. All the musicians who were on the grind with no money, making $15 a show or sometimes nothing. All those athletes who said they'd never make it. Follow in their foot steps, and not give a single fuck what anyone says about you and your dreams. Go out, follow that shit, and take your life back from the hands of those who would see you fail at what you love to do what they want for your agenda. Take your life back, before it is suffocated.

Until next time,
Corey.

Live in the now.

I heard of an Author named Eckhart Tolle, and his book The Power of Now. This book changed my life so much. So much so, that I am on my third time listening to the audio book. The power of now is a powerful book, no pun intended. It taught me to live in the now. Living in the now, is the most amazing feeling you can ever experience. Once you let those past demons go, and you let the future hold you have on your life go. You just live for today. For this very moment. Nothing more, nothing less. You exist in this very moment, and only this moment. Another book, by John Eldredge titled Wild at Heart has also influenced a lot of my life. Along with a book by author John C Parkin, titled Fuck it Therapy: The Profane Way to Profound Happiness. These three books, have influenced the person I am becoming daily. I learned things I never would have without these three books.
Live is short, and living in the past is such a bad idea. Living in the past will only hinder your future, and living in the future will only hinder your present. Living in the now, will clear any past problem you have had. Living in the now, will clear out any worry you have for the future. What is the point of worrying about the future? You have no idea what will happen in the future. Any number of things are possible. The world could end in any second. Live in that second. You'll never get this second back. You'll never experience this exact moment you are living right now, ever again. Let me put into perspective just how short our lives are.
9/11 was done 15 years ago. I was born in 1992, that is 23(almost 24) years ago. My grandmother is in her 80's. We look at 80 years and think that is a long time. The biblical times were more than 4,000 years ago. That may seem like a long time. And, it is. But, to the world, it is but a blip. The world is MILLIONS of years old. You are living in THIS exact moment, for a reason. Live in it. Not in the past, the past is a million years ago. Not in the future, the future is a million years away. That 80 years, isn't very far away now is it? You could blink, and be 50 and wonder where those 30 years went. You could wake up tomorrow, or you could die in your sleep. You could walk in front of a bus, a car, get hit by a plane. Get shot, stabbed, get cancer and suffer. Get hooked on drugs, and become and addict and die in an alley somewhere. You could wake up, and choke on food. Drown in the bath tub. There are thousands of ways you could die. Is that second you're living in so long now?
The times we live in, are limited. But, we are limitless. We have the power to do anything we want. Why are we limiting ourselves by looking at the past? Why are we limiting ourselves by growing up so fast? Rekindle that kindred spirit from your childhood. Stop growing up so fast. Live in the now. Go for a walk. Hug and kiss your significant other. Play with your kids. Play with your pets. Write that book you always talked about writing. Write that poetry you use to write. Learn that instrument you gave up 10 years ago. Play some basketball. Get out and get some fresh air. Live in the now, because you never know what the next second, minute, hour, day, week, month or year has in store. You never know if YOU will be a part of it. The world keeps spinning when you're dead. You're gone, and the world doesn't stop. Why do you stop? Keep ever moving.
We like to speculate that we know what happens when we die. We like to believe in the idea of an afterlife. So we limit out life. Live in the now, because that afterlife you look towards could of couldn't exist. Live in the now, because you never know if you'll be able to live in the tomorrow. Change your life, for the now. Let go of the past, all the pain, all the misery you may have had. Let go of your preconceived notions of the future. We are but temporary beings on a temporary rock, that is part of a billion other rocks in the plane of existence we live in.
"100 years from now everyone who is living on this planet will be dead. So it's inconsequential really all the shit that you talk. All the bullshit that you stand for. It's more important what, what you're ready to build. What you're ready to build. What you're ready to pass down to your children. What you'r ready to create."- Immortal Technique.
Remember, when you're thinking that life sucks and it's so long. That quote above. You'll be gone in 100 years from now. And, live in the now of life. Instead of chasing the future, and living in the past.

Clary Sage Oil, because of its characteristic of protection and ability to clear the negativity.

How is your digestive health? How well does food sit with you?
Ginger oil, for its effect on digestive health and overall wellness.

How "broken" is your heart?
Rose oil because of its ability to make one feel safe and secure, it has been used in some PTSD cases as well.
Throat:
Do you have a hard time speaking in front of people?
Bergamot oil, because of its use in periods of sadness, my fiance has thyroid problems, and speaking problems when it comes to talking to people. We got her a chakra roller from a local health store. And, bergamot oil was one of the main ingredients.
Third-Eye:
How open is your mind?
Frankincense oil, because of its use in spiritual oil blends over the years. It is one of the oils given to the baby Jesus in the bible. In my eyes, that gives it a very profound characteristic.
Crown:
Do you have a lot of fear?
Sandalwood oil, for its ability to bring a sense of inner peace.

As you can see, the 7 chakras are a very important thing to pay attention to. If one chakra is out of alignment, it hurts all of them. As you can see above, our 7 chakras control every part of our lives. From feeling that we are save and secure, all the way up to having wisdom and peace within. The chakras are the most important part of our consciousness. We must realize, that our actions have reactions. When we destroy our body physically, metaphysically we will suffer. Our consciousness suffers, when our physical self suffers and vice versa. When we destroy ourselves internally, externally we suffer. Pay mind to what you ingest, weather it be food or information. Pay mind to who you spend your time with. Pay mind to who you let into your consciousness. Make sure, to bring balance to your life and your 7 chakras. Align your meridian, align your chakras and live your life in perfect harmony.

The Importance of Routine.

All successful people have a routine. Weather it be to wake up at 5 A.M. and make coffee, go for a run, and begin their work day. Or, they wake up and they meditate, read, eat a bowl of oatmeal and read the newspaper. A routine is essential to getting what you want out of life. Habits, are a good thing to adopt. They say, it takes 21 days for something done repetitively to become habit forming, Meaning, that new routine you started yesterday that seems daunting, will become a habit 20 days from now. Don't give up just yet.

The importance of ritual comes from times, well beyond our spectrum. Many years ago, our ancestors themselves partook in routine and rituals. Things we consider jobs or sport now days, they considered habit, routine. Foraging for food, scavenging for that little morsel to eat. Hunting, or being hunted sometimes. It was all a survival routine. Now, we go to the supermarket in our car and get a frozen dinner for less than or right at $1.00 and we are good to go. But, in fact, we are not good to go. We have lost, the routine to survive. We put all our success into prepackaged meals, automobiles and reality television.

Instead of regular human interaction. Instead of hunting, daily for our food. Instead of looking for our means for survival, braving the elements. We live comfortably. I'm, for one, not complaining. I am sitting inside a house, that isn't 28 degrees. With wind, and I don't have to brave the elements. I bring you guys words through electronic devices. But, it deeply saddens me that we have lost our will to achieve a higher self. We pawn our time off onto television and video games. I know, I'm one to talk, I can be found on occasions playing video games.

My point is, find a routine and follow it. I myself, have adopted a new morning routine. And, I quite enjoy it.

I wake up, and instantly drink at least 1 glass/bottle of water. Before my feet hit the floor.
Next step, foam rolling. All those tight and tense muscles. Getting them nice and loose.
Tai-Chi follows that.
Next up, this blog post.
After that, will come stretching/yoga.
Following that, will be meditation.
And, lastly, I'll end it all with a nice cup of hot tea, and a semi cold shower.

Now, that will be my routine. That may vary slightly, I may skip the tea and opt for a workout if it's the day to workout.

Nightly routines, are also just as important as morning routines. We fall into this electronic trap, and it keeps us up at night. Television, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, ETC. It all becomes no monogamous, we forget what we are even doing. Instead of that television show you watch right before bed, opt for a chapter in a book. You don't like to read books? Try and audio book. I frequently listen to those. It's all about adopting healthy habits. Weather it be a workout routine, or weather it be simply a routine when choosing food.

My new nightly routine, will be as follows:
A glass of sleepytime or another form of sleep tea.
A half bottle or glass of water to follow.
A nightly Stretch/yoga session, short.
A hot shower/bath to release tensions.
Meditation,

I always end my sessions with meditation, because meditation both frees the mind and the body. It can give you mental clarity as well as physical release of tensions.

So go out, and map out a routine for yourself. Less electronics, more along the lines of natural, organic means. Pick up a book series, learn about meditation, deep breathing, bioenergetics, tantra, yoga, tai-chi, and adopt some healthy habits for the new year.

Misdirection.

Many people, don't know which direction they travel. They let the GPS work for them. Never learning the world.  You see technology has made us dumber.  No longer, can we tell the time by the sun.  The season by the birds.  Most people don't know the Moss theory.
Most people don't know about the persimmon seed. Or how to read the weather by the atmosphere.  It's sad really, we are so blind and dumb to life. We mosey on throughout our day, and don't notice anything.  Faces stuck to phones, not paying attention to the surroundings. We miss life by trying to capture it.
Relationships crumble, families grow apart,  dinner consists of phones and tablets. If not, it's in front of the TV.  Family time doesn't exist anymore. And it's alarming.  When you think about it,  most of us are headed in the wrong direction. Life gives us a detour, and we lose our way.  We can't let that happen though.
We have to look at life, as a giant roadway. With different turns and different turn offs. I encourage you to look for the obstacles,  look for the road blocks. And find a way through, around, or over them. Do not look for the easy path,  the path with no obstacles. That is the wrong path to follow. That,  is the path that will give you the least outcome.  The road to success is paved with obstacle after obstacle.
Only when you are faced with adversity are you truly tested and strengthened.
Go chase adversity,  and watch yourself grow.
