Fears: Living A Fear Based Life

"We have nothing to fear, but fear itself." -Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Sadly though, a lot of us live a fear based life. We live in a world full of phobias. According to (http://phobialist.com/) there is over 500 documented phobias. That is quite the list, seeing as there is a fear of everything. Everything from the fear of spiders to the fear of water. Sometimes, we let these fears run our lives for us. Fear is a demon, and in order to slay that demon we must close our eyes and say we're not afraid.

There is a few things I myself like to do to overcome my fears. Let me share those methods with you today:

The first method I like to use is the Imagery method. Or, facing my fear each and every day. Whatever my fear may be, weather it be physical or mental. I print a picture, or draw a picture of what I feel it looks like. Some sort of picture or object that resembles what my fear is. And I hang it somewhere where I can see it, first thing in the morning. I hang it either on my door or on a mirror. I face that fear every single morning. And that will acclimate my mind into confronting it everyday, thus rendering me less fearful of that which I feared before. This method is quite direct. In some cases, I have noticed it actually made the fear worse in some people. The majority, though, do actually eventually overcome their fears within a reasonable time.

I love to use meditation in these instances. If I feel fear, or work with a client who is full of fear, I usually prescribe daily meditation. I start off with 15 minutes a day, and work it up to around 45 minutes a day after a few months. I recommend meditation, regardless. But, meditation is the best medication anyone can use. There is an old saying, that goes: "If you don't have time to meditate for 15 minutes, meditate for 30". We always have time, we just need to make it. Maybe wake up 15 minutes earlier, Spend 15 minutes less watching TV, or spend 15 minutes less on meaningless tasks. We can always find room for more time, we just have to manage it better.

Fear, often comes from our deep rooted ideologies from childhood. It could come from a bad experience, or exposure, with something we do not understand. Nothing in the world, is truly scary, or else everyone would be afraid of it. Therefore one can assume that fear can be overcome. Just as you can learn anything you set out to learn. It takes us 21 days to make or break a habit. Fear, comes from habitual rituals. When we can face our fear, and tell our fear we are no longer fearful, we can achieve true happiness. We must remember, that fear is not real, but it is only a figment of our imagination. Fear does not exist, we simply let it exist.

Living a fear based life, will lead us to living a very unfulfilled life. Lose your fears, and gain your life. Lose what is holding you back, and step forth into becoming the best version of yourself you have ever seen.

A Letter To The Lost..

Right now you are on a road in life, there is always a road being traveled. Now that might be a dirt road, a gravel road, maybe it is a road in the country or a road in a big city. Maybe that road is blacktop, a highway or a county road. Maybe that road is 4 lanes or 2 lanes. Whatever it may be, you are on a road. Where are you going? What does the horizon look like? What is behind you? What surrounds you? Do you notice anything along your path?

Imagine you find a bowl along the path. How big is the bowl? What is the bowl bade of? How full is it? Do you keep this bowl or do you drop it and leave it? When you see the bowl, how do you feel?

You walk more on this road, and notice a key hanging off a tree or a sign. What kind of key is it? What is it made of? How much does it weigh? Is it small, is it large? How connected do you feel to this key? As you progress on this road, do you decide to keep it or do you decide to leave it alone?

You now reach a fork in the road, to the right is the same path you've been on. But to the left, is a path you have yet to go down. Which way do you go? Which path do you choose to follow? The right or the left?

Whichever path chosen above, leads you to a house. This house is surrounded by a fence, how does this fence look? What material is it made of? What about the outside of the house? What does it look like? How many stories is it? Is it a big house or a small house?

Go to the door, is it unlocked? Is it locked? Did you keep that key from earlier? Go inside, what does it look like inside? Does the outside reflect what the inside looks like? Or is the inside completely different? What is the atmosphere like inside? Is it full inside? Or is it void of furniture?

Leave the house now, and go back to the road. Do you go back the way you came? Or do you decide to go on, into the unknown?

You may be asking me what all this has to do with? You may even be confused at this point. Let me explain:

The road symbolizes the life you have lived up until now.
The bowl is your feelings about money.
The key is your feelings on success.
The fence is how you set the boundaries in your life.
The outside of the house is how you present yourself onto others.
The inside of the house is your real (true) self.
The road is how far you can go into the future(life).

How did you fare? Is there anything you wish to change? Are you happy with your results? This all may not make sense at first glance. If not, I urge you to go back and re-read it. Really think about your decisions. Life is all about decisions. You choose your own destiny, your own path is carved by each and every choice you make in your life. You choose your road, you choose how much you want to fill your bowl up, weather you want the key or not, how you fence yourself off, how you present yourself to others, you choose how far you can go in life. The only thing we cannot change, is who we are. Our (true) self. We can only carve around that. We make choices based off who we are.

What choices have you made thus far in your life? Are you happy with them? Why or why not? Why did you make those choices? Were they your choices? Or did someone else influence them? You see, life is all about the decisions we make. The choices we choose to pursue. What road are you traveling right now? If you don't like it, CHANGE IT. You have the power within you to change every single thing in your life. From the people who occupy your time, to your happiness. Follow your primal instincts. Take what you want from life. The job, TAKE IT. The girl, TAKE IT. The success, TAKE IT. Do not let anyone or anything stand in your path, bust through the walls, jump over the hurdles and continue down that road to success..

Stay positive, and keep it real.

Self Reflection and Self Healing

Good afternoon everyone. I wasn't able to get my videos uploaded this morning or last night, but I can't leave you hanging without a blog post. I have been in deep contemplation these last few months, and it has brought me to this point. Self reflection and self help. These are two of the most important things one can do for themselves.

A few months ago I was cast into a world of deep depression and anxiety. My world was flipped upside down, and just a month ago it came to a screeching halt. These past weeks, have been hard. And I myself have done quite a bit of soul searching, and self reflection. Sometimes, you don't need others to help you. You don't need someone to hold your hand, what you need is yourself. To self reflect and to search for your soul, your inner power to get yourself through the troubling times you are facing. You see, when we are faced with these times of peril, we often go about it the wrong way and we end up doing more self damage than self healing.

   When I got cast into my deep depression, I took a step back from the world. From friends, and family. I took a step back from everything I was doing and I worked on helping myself and healing. Some things I recommend doing;

-Meditation:
Meditation can help you to calm your mind and get the mental clarity to stop obsessing over your situation. Meditation can help you align your thoughts and your mental state to be more relaxed and be more calm about what's going on. Deep, relaxing meditation is a self healing method that has been used for thousands of years, and I recommend doing this first and foremost when you wake up to start your day off in a calm state.

-Walking:
Not only is taking a walk good for clearing your mind, it is good for your health also. Walking gives your heart the exercise it needs to function properly. It also helps your lungs, by breathing in the fresh air. Also, being outside in the sun gives you adequate vitamin D levels, which helps reduce depression and anxiety. It is recommended to walk at least 30 minutes a day, I usually do this after my meditation.

-Drink some tea:
Seriously, brew you some green tea in the morning after your walk and sip you a glass. I choose this over coffee most mornings, because it has antioxidants as well as flavonoids that help balance your bodies natural immune system. Green tea also has less caffeine than coffee, caffeine is a good pick me up but too much can be detrimental. I usually have between 3 to 6 cups of tea a day, the green tea is only in the mornings though ( I will write another blog post soon about the different  teas I drink).

-Tai Chi:
I practice Tai Chi in the mornings to help my body move more fluidly and un-tense my body. I use about a 4-10 minute routine just to get the blood flowing. There are various videos and various sources you can find online for routines to follow.

-Stretching/foam rolling/bioenergetics:
I have talked on bioenergetics before. I learned about it through Elliott Hulse, and it is a good way to energize your body and your mind. I usually start by stretching for a bit, just intuitive stretching and feeling where my body needs it. After that I start my foam rolling routine that usually takes about an hour. After that, I do some bioenergetics, and begin my day after all of the aforementioned. I recommend searching for bioenergetics on YouTube, to get more information about it. The videos will show you the proper techniques on how to perform it on yourself.

That is my daily routine usually. and it has helped me keep on track and get out of my deep pit I was in. I learned to love myself more, and I learned to rely on myself not other people. That is the key to eternal happiness, and the key to making it through hard times. When you are faced with a troubling time, take a step back. Take some YOU time and reflect on what the situation is about. See what you could do NOW not what you could have done THEN. You cannot see a future, with eyes constantly on the past. You need to live in the now, and self heal.

I find myself often drawn to nature, and the woods in times of peril. Being out with nature can help you really put life into perspective. Going barefoot, and grounding yourself with the earth in the grass for 15-30 minutes a day can aid in anti-depression, anti-anxiety, and help you sleep better at night. I try to go barefoot everywhere I go, and when I cannot I throw on my Vibram Five Fingers or flip flops and get as barefoot as possible.

Sometimes you need to shut the lights off, put the electronics down and look up at the sky. Go out on a country road, or go to a field and look up at the stars. Look up and see the stars, the moon, the planets, and that will put life into perspective for you. I myself learned that my problems are minute, in comparison to the vast universe we live in.

Live happy.
Live well.
Do some self reflection.
Love yourself.

The Three Most Valuable Lessons I learned The Hard Way

What's going on today everybody? Long night last night getting my video on YouTube processed and up. So, it was a late start to today for me. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday and getting some much needed rest in like myself. I often find myself in deep contemplation on days like this. Slow days, the days that seem to drag on. I find those the best days to catch up on reading, do some deeper meditation than the other days of the week, try something I haven't tried before, go for a hike or a longer walk than usual. I find days like today, the perfect time to really live it up.

Wouldn't it be nice though, to live everyday that way? Waking up everyday without a care in the world? Waking up everyday and being able to work on yourself, work on your health and wellness. Working on your mental and physical and spiritual self. You can, and I'm about to tell you how.

You see, a few years ago I found myself interested into becoming my own boss. Not just becoming my own boss, but taking control over my entire life. I decided that I would wake up one day and use my voice to control my life. I made this blog, I made a YouTube channel, and I got some knowledge and became a certified life coach, and got into schooling for other things as well. I now wake up everyday, to better my life and better my future. I wake up as my own boss and I took my life back into my own hands. Now, that's not saying that I will not get a job. I need to get a job, this stuff just doesn't pay what I need. But, doing this is my passion. Find your passion. Take your life back from the corporate greed, take your life back into your own hands.

Three years ago, when I decided to take my life back I was grasping at every angle possible. I finally found my niche, I finally found what I loved to do. I love to motivate people. I love to heal people, emotionally and physically. I love nature and fitness. This is the avenue I took. Each day I wake up I work towards those goals. I work on my passion. I work on ME. That is the key to eternal happiness, work on YOU first, and the rest after. That is the most valuable lesson I have learned in these last three years. Take care of yourself first and foremost. Whatever that looks like for you, do it. If it means waking up 30 minutes earlier to get your walk in, or your meditation. If it means skipping the lunch with your coworkers to go and get a workout in or to go and get some stretching in or do something for yourself to better your life. It doesn't matter what you have to do to achieve that, it is the most valuable lesson you can learn.

Think of it this way, it may not make you the most popular person at work. But, you aren't there to win the popularity contest. You are there to do your work and get a paycheck right? If you lost it all right now, and you had nothing, who would be there for you? If the world was falling apart, would those people who you try to impress be there? Fuck no! You would be there though, always take care of yourself first. Always make time for yourself. That goes for any situation, weather work, friendships or relationships. So many of these things fail, because every party involved does not make time for themselves. With that being said, I am not saying ignore everyone else. Simply put, work on yourself before you think you can work on someone else. If you make no time for yourself, your relationships, can crumble without you even knowing why.

The second most valuable lesson I learned; always let your walk do the talking for you. A lot of people can talk the talk, but can they really walk the walk? You will have a ton of naysayers, no matter what you do or where you go with it. From teachers, to doctors all the way to personal trainers and even being a parent. You will always have people who talk shit, and downgrade you. DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE PEOPLE. That is rule one. They want that, to bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Instead, let your actions, let your walk do the talking for you. If your actions cannot do the talking for you, than that is something you must analyze on your own personal level. Actions speak way louder than words ever could.

Don't let those who wish to bring you down, bring you down through negativity. Let those negative comments fuel you. People will talk bad about that which they don't understand, it is human nature. Let them talk, they talk all the talk they can because at the end of the day they cannot walk the walk like you and I can. Let these haters fuel your fire and your desire. If someone truly does back your cause, or what you do, their actions will speak into you more than their words do. They can say that they support you all they want. Are they commenting and giving you constructive criticism, or good vibes? Are they sharing your word or services with their friends and acquaintances? If they say they support you, but do none of these, than what support are they giving you? Trust actions, NOT words.

That brings me to my final valuable lesson I learned. Your consequences are a direct result of your own actions. That is a bitter and tough pill to swallow for some. It was for me at first. I was the type, like a lot of others, to blame my results on someone else. I always laid the blame on someone else for my own actions. There is a level of maturity one will reach, when faced with their own consequences and they can say "This is my fuck up, and mine alone". We must realize, that no one else makes these choices for us. They may influence what we do, but when it gets down to the core of it you are the only one making the decision. Not them, not anyone but yourself. We need to learn, and quit laying blame on others when shit doesn't work out. When a relationship goes south, both sides argue that it was the other person but fail to see their own misgivings. When you lose your job, it is always the bosses fault for "having it out for you". Car breaks down, and it is the manufactures fault, not the fact that you didn't put oil in it fir 6 months or put gas in it when it needed it.

That's it you guys, those are the three most valuable lessons I have learned so far. There are more, but these three are the ones that resonate most with me. Work on yourself first, let your walking do your talking for you and keep your consequences on yourself not others. That's it. With those three lessons, you can be as successful as you want to be. I myself learned these lessons the hard way. I have loved and lost, and I have had people walk out of my life simply because I was being an egotistical prick. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Don't be an asshole, and tune in tomorrow for some more motivation.

What's the Point?

I get asked this question often. What's the point of working out everyday? What's the point of lifting all that heavy stuff? What's the point of your schooling, and what you're educating yourself on? What's the point of doing what you do? "It won't get you anywhere". "What is the practical use for it all?". Time after time I get asked all these questions and told that what I do is worthless. I get asked what the point of life is, what the point of doing what i do is. I am baffled about how much I get bombarded with these questions and ridicule.

The point? In short, there is no point. I could accept my fate, my ultimate fate of death, and not do a damn thing with my life. I could go sit behind a desk and pencil push and punch a time clock. "Yes sir, no sir" and brown nose my way to a head higher in the corporate ass. 40 hour weeks, pension, vacation days, sick days. I could do all that. OR I could do what I love, and never work a day in my life. Why do I do what I do? What's the point? I have a passion, I have motivation and drive to do something worthwhile. Something that I LOVE to do. Something that makes me feel alive everyday that I do it. I feel at home when that heavy barbell leaves the floor. I feel at home when my bare feet touch the ground outside. When I am exploring the outdoors and becoming one with nature. When I meditate, and heal my body. The point? I am using my knowledge and my experience to change other peoples lives.

The point of all of this, is to do what you love and let it kill you. Do what you love, and live your life freely. I could settle, I could get a job and settle for 60 years and die. Or I could get a job, and move my way up in the world. Eventually opening my own business and helping everyone I can reach. Through this blog, through my videos, through me going to school and through me gaining more knowledge and first world experience at things. I am able to help mold someone else's life. That is why I do what I do. I got into fitness and nutrition to help save my own life, and I am using that to help save others. Fitness has kept me from death. And nutrition kept me from an early grave by diseases.

It hurts, the grind, the struggle, it hurts real bad. But so does mediocrity. So does defeat and so does falling from grace. If no one did what they loved, the things we love most wouldn't be here. I do what I do, to give back. Motivation, nutrition, fitness, eastern healing arts such as Reiki and Hypnotherapy and things in that category. These things drive me, these things are my passion. I am on this earth to help spread the message of love, and healing into each and every person who crosses my path.

So, what's the point you ask? The point of this life? The point is to do what you love despite what everyone says. Do what you love, until the day you die even if what you love kills you. Find your passion, find your mark you want to make on the world and run with it. Never dull yourself for the darkness others spread. Never let their negative outshine your positive. Find your passion, find your heart and find yourself. Once you do, don't let anything stop you. You can achieve anything you set your mind out to achieve. The world is full of possibilities, endless possibilities. The point of this life, is to live it to its fullest. With no regrets, with no off button. Go out, have fun, experience things and don't look back. It's not about the number of moments you have, but what those few moments meant to you. Make them all count.

Don't come to a point in your life, where you look back and you see all the things you wish you would have done. Come to the point, when you can  look back and think "What a ride that was" Look back on your life, and don't regret anything. Everything you do, you do for a reason. Everything do you, is exactly what you want to do. The choice is yours, the end result is yours to choose. Choose your own point in life.

The Brightest Lights Shine During the Darkest Times

During this lifetime, you will have your dark days. Sometimes those days may turn into weeks, or even months. Sometimes it may be a year or two before you finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But, those brightest lights shine during the darkest of times. You are that bright light, you are the one shining, eroding away at the darkness. You may not even notice it, but you are changing the world around you. You are creating the world you are living in, and when you come to realize that, you can control any situation you come across.

We don't realize it, but our thoughts shape our actions. Those actions shape our very life before us. Therefore if you consistently think negative thoughts, we consistently do negative things, all we will see is the negative in the world around us. We start to notice all the negative things, all the bad drivers, all the broken this and dead that. We shape our world with our thoughts. We think of the world in such a negative way, and we turn on the news and that's all that it is. Negative, and more negative. Too often, we live in this negative mindset, because of the negative self image we have. We see ourselves in a negative place, so in default we also see the world around us just as negatively.

When we can go into a bad situation, and think positively about it, we can become that light shining in the dark. The world is not the bad place you see on the news, it is not the bad place you hear about from others. These people are stuck in negative self image and negative self mindsets. When you can kick this mindset and look at the world through the gaze of light, then you can begin to mold it for your betterment. You see, the kaleidoscope turns more than one way. One way may be dark, but the other brings in more light. Things aren't always as they seem at first, it is only when we look at it in a different perspective, we can finally see it for what it is. And what is it? It is simply, a situation to be molded.

There are countless numbers of ways to mold one situation, so often we choose to mold it negatively. Instead, I encourage you to look at every situation and analyze it. Look at both the negative and the positive. Look at each situation and determine how your actions will mold it. Look at your life right now, and weight the positives with the negatives. Why are the negatives negative? Say you lost your job, that's probably a negative right? Or, is it an underlying positive? Turn that job loss, into following your dreams. Turn that job loss, as a kick in the ass to start your life back up. Maybe your girlfriend left you or wife divorced you. Or, vice versa for the ladies. Turn that breakup or that divorce into an underlying positive, what ended it? What part did you play in that? Can you change yourself? Of course you fucking can. So go do it, mold yourself from those negative perspectives you've shown everyone, into a positive for the next one. Or who knows, maybe she was just giving you a wake up call.

The point I am trying to get across is this, nothing is as what it seems, until you make it what it is. You have the power to shape your own actions. When you think positively, your actions will reflect that. When your actions reflect that, you can mold your world around you. So, when you are faced with a decision in your life, or when you come to a situation. Stop and think, use your thoughts to manifest the reality you want. It's the power of positive thought people, be that bright light shining among the darkness around you. You have the ability to change the world.

Just where in the world have I been?!

I hear it often, from the few people that regularly read my posts and watch my videos. I have gone fairly rogue for the last few months. I have taken the time to do some self reflection. I am currently in school. and I took a 60 day leave of absence. The beginning of 2016 was looking good, I started my own nofap journey and things were looking up. But, every high has its low. Unfortunately the nofap journey came to an end just a month in, when I had a breakup with my now girlfriend, and my grandmother being in the hospital.

To keep a rather long story short, my girlfriend decided we needed space, which I agreed to. But, for some reason I couldn't listen to. Which ended up in a breakup. My grandmother was in an ICU room for 4 days before moved to a hospice room and passing away March 2nd of this year. I have done no blogging and no fitness related anything since. In fact, the only fitness related anything I did was my cousins attempt to get me out of my depression by dragging me to the gym with him and his best friend.

These last few months, I have been in deep self reflection. I have been in deep thought and deep concentration. I have used these last few months of silence to absorb more than I let out into the world. I have been gaining knowledge, both self and business knowledge. I have been in deep contemplation on what avenue I want to take my channel and my blog. I decided to keep up this course, with fitness and nutrition. Along with the motivational speaking. I want to reach out to all those like me, who can get into deep holes of depression that are seemingly endless. My path is one that is paved with many obstacles. I am going to work more on my body and getting it into the proper proportion. This will be phase one:

Phase one includes walking everyday, meditation everyday, and yoga everyday. Transitioning to eating healthier and eating less foods that are body damaging and eating more body healing foods. I will also be doing Tai Chi every morning on top of that. As well as deep foam rolling.

Phase two: Will consist of bodyweight exercises and outside workouts. Such as grass cutting, log splitting, log lifting, etc. Along with the aforementioned in phase one.

Phase three: I will be getting either back into a gym membership and crushing the weights in there, or investing in my own weights to crush. But phase three will consist of the restart of my previous routine done by my coach George Leeman.

Phase four: This phase is where things start coming together. I am hoping by this phase I will be in the last stages of becoming the version of myself I see in phase five. This will be the phase where I put it to the grind and get my own business off the ground.

Phase five: This is the phase where shit will start popping off. The phase where I transition from the person online who is struggling mentally and physically, to the one who travels around giving seminars as a motivational speaker and fitness guru who can help those who are stuck in those dark holes or stuck in life in general.

You see, I haven't just wallowed in self sorrow and self pity. I have been contemplating my part here in this life. We're living just to die and dying just to live. I want to break this damn cycle of saying, not doing, and saying some more. This is the year for ACTION. Watch me, as I show you transformation after transformation. Mentally, physically, spiritually and financially.
