You Are Not Who You Think You Are.

So often, we want to identify ourselves with a certain aspect of the world. Or, of life in general. We want to feel like we belong, like we are important to something. We want to BE things, we want people to KNOW we are those things. That, is where so many of us go wrong. We want to identify with things we think will make us feel whole. All the while, it is imprisoning us even further. We strive to become something when, in reality, we are everything we need to be. At this very exact moment in time, you have the tools you need to succeed in anything you choose. But, do not identify yourself as those things. Do not let the things you do, define who or what you are.

I myself, do not identify myself as anything. I am not a man, nor am I a woman. I am not a human, nor am I an alien. I am neither alive, nor dead. I just am. I am here, in this moment as a sentient being of a planet, so vast and so versatile, that I can do anything I choose to do. We simplify the world so much, that our technological advances will be our downfall. Sure, it's nice to pick up a computer or a phone and talk to people globally. I mean, millions of years ago, the only people you thought existed were those who you were raised with. But now, we have access to BILLIONS of others. We have the power, to go anywhere and do anything. We have cars, planes, helicopters, boats and trains. You name it, we can travel on or in it. Yet, we shut ourselves down. We shut out the world, and destroy our means of survival.

Many people, think the President is a higher power because of him being in a position of power. The same goes for law enforcement and others of a "higher ranking". Those, are all social marks we put on the people who have done things with their lives. Is it good, to be in a position of power? Yes, in some aspects. But, it is when you let yourself become that power and that power define you that you have a problem. Do not, think for a moment that you are better than I or anyone else just because you have a "higher" social ranking. It goes back to high school. Or ever further back, to adolescence. Even your birth day. When we are born, we are automatically imprisoned into this world. We are given a number, that defines our every waking moment. Our whole being is categorized by a number.

Furthermore, when we grow older and are able to start moving around. We are told "no" the infamous word heard world wide. You ask something, "no" you are told. You want something, "no" you are told. You are told you are a bad child, when you throw a tantrum. You are told it is WRONG to express your emotions. Another prison. The inability to express your true feelings. So you grow older, and you begin using the word NO. Many parents, and non parents alike, know that world. A child says it all the time. It is what they are taught from day 1. But, they are punished for it. Scolded and put in a "time out" because of using it. But, the parents and adults alike still tell the child "no". "I'm hungry mommy/daddy". The response? "No, you just ate 2 hours ago you'll be fine".

You are told, what you like. Why you like. Who you like. What to wear. When to eat. What to eat. What to do. What to say. How to say. How to act. You don't run your life as a child. And this progresses into school. You are told all those things and more. You eat at certain times. You can only play at certain times. You are told how you must dress in "public". You are told when and how to talk. You SIT there all day, 8 hours, in a classroom. Learning things out of a book, that others tell you is the "right thing". And this progresses into middle school.

The rules get stricter. The world buckles down on you. It has to right? Or else, you'd be completely out of control. Am I right? Or, is this just a teaching we use to further imprison people? The older we get, the longer we sit. In school, we lose the ability to go outside. So we are stuck, sitting all day. We grow older. and reach high school. And, this trend progresses. We are told, you must dress proper. To act proper. To talk properly and sit more. Sit, sit, sit and more sitting. We are told to get a job, A job, where most of us sit. Or we slave away at something that makes us unhappy. We are told this is our JOB, our PLACE to do these things. Only because if we fail to do so, we are labeled as "not fit" for society.

Now, am I saying that having a job is bad? By no means am I saying that. I, also, am not saying that we do not need to WORK. We simply don't need a "job". You must work on yourself, you must work for the world. Not, for a company nor for an organization that does not better YOU. Why slave away years of your limited life, for someone or something that does not make you happy. You make them happy everyday. You make them money, they are living the high life. While you live paycheck to paycheck. Thinking, that is your only means of income. When in reality, your TRUE income is how you pay yourself. How you pay your body. How you choose to pay your soul, you are entitled to whatever you want for your mind. You have a plethora of information, information not seen for millions of years by so many, with the internet now you can make yourself knowledgeable in anything you choose. Why do you choose social media? Why do you choose to do things that make you unhappy? There is a world of things, that can fulfill your wildest ambitions.

Do not, identify yourself as anything. You are not your job. You are not your music. You are not the way you dress. Nor how you act, how you feel. You are not the title you hold. You are not any better than anyone or anything else. You are simply, you. Free yourself from this fucking prison. Do not be held back, from your true purpose in life. So many years have passed us all by. How old are you? That's how long you've been in a prison. For me, that was 23 years. No more though. Do not worry about hurt feelings. Do not cry over spilled milk. A wolf, does not  concern himself with the opinions of sheep. BE that Lion. Be the leader of your own life. Break out of the prison, that is holding your life back.

  Be your true purpose.

Primal: Is It Any Good? Should I Follow It? What Is It Exactly?

You're walking through the dense jungle, leaving your cave or home you had built. In one hand, a spear the other, is bare. As you are walking barefoot across sticks and leaves, you don't think twice, this is your nature. You've walked these forests a thousand times. You are crawling over rocks, climbing branches as about 100 yards away, you spot a wild boar. So instinctively you drop down slowly crawling, keeping your eyes fixed on it. You get close enough, and slowly rise, not to alarm it. As you cock back, you throw your spear, just right catching it in the heart. Instantly killing it. as you hoist it up on your shoulder you find a stick, and sharpen it as you arrive back at your home, putting it over the fire to slow cook all day. As you go out, foraging for nuts, and other vegetables or the occasional fruit you can find. As you find nothing else. Today was a lucky day, you actually get some meat to help keep you going through the rigorous daily activities you have to do, in order to live and survive.

That's exactly how we lived, tens of thousands of years ago. There were no, Walmart, or big grocery stores to go shop at. There was no, frozen pizza, chicken nuggets, french fries, hell no friend, breaded, potato. corn. anything grain like. It was meat, when you could get it. And all the vegetables you could gather. You didn't get the luxury to go and buy it in abundance only to let it all waste. There was no ice cream and brownies for you "cheat meal" or "cheat day". The food you ate back then was to survive, to nourish your body. To keep it able to keep up with your necessary daily activity. You walked, daily. You crawled, and jumped. Sprinted when being chased on occasions. You climbed, and lifted heavy things. Hoisted animal carcasses. You threw spears, stabbed spears. Sharpened sticks. And there was no down time. Not even to blog like I am right now. You were always busy.

I guess that is what we have "evolved" into. The "I want it now, it's easy to get and than I will let it waste because that health thing was only a fling". So we go back to our unhealthy grains, and we go back to our unhealthy foods. We get those frozen pizzas and those corn dogs, and such. And we stuff them into our bodies, getting the little amount of protein they offer. And hardly nourishing our bodies, and actually doing the opposite. Killing ourselves, slowly and surely. Getting a number of diseases, that weren't around 100,000 years ago. Because the food additives just did not exist. They were not even thought of.

What does it mean to eat, live and be primal? Well, after I found the blog called "Marks Daily Apple" I decided to start adapting to living a primal life. Mark Sisson, is the one who created the "primal blueprint".
Being primal, means living the way our ancestors did thousands of years ago.
  Being primal means:
-Eating good foods, animals, good fats, plants and the occasional fruit.
-Low carb, your only carbs should come from plant sources.
-High fat, good fats such as avocado, coconut, olive oil, etc.
-Moderate protein.
-Walk daily.
-Lift heavy things.
-Stay active.
-Play (doing socially fun things or things you enjoy)
-Minimal stress.
-Get a good amount of sleep.

That pretty much outlines the basics of living a primal lifestyle.
No more being a couch potato. (speaking of potatoes, they are bad. They aren't included in the primal lifestyle. Unless it is an occasional sweet potato)
Now, that isn't saying you cannot watch TV. Just, don't revolve your life around it.
Just stay busy, stay active.
Walk around, do movements that mimic the lifestyle back then.
Crawl, hop, jump, walk, sprint on an occasion, lift heavy things, compound movements. Just do the opposite of all you have been taught.
Carbs are bad. Potatoes, grains, corn, all of it. 99% of what the modern diet consists of. Is bad for you. And is killing everyone slowly.
And they have those fancy commercials, "if you're hungry, grab a snickers"
Oh, grab that snickers. Satisfy your hunger, for 10 seconds. Until you want another, and another. Of those empty calorie heart disease bars. All I see when I look at the candy section:
-cancer.
-heart disease.
-diabetes.
-obesity.
-tooth decay.
-death.

Because eating a diet, consistent of all that, is a surefire way to be put on prescription medication, that causes more problems than it fixes.

To live the primal life, is to live the life that was lived for hundreds of thousands of years. Before artificial anything was around.
Now am I implying to go out and hunt for food everyday? To ask that of most people is, asinine. Quite frankly, not a lot of people CAN do that. But, what I am suggesting, is to go out and buy GRASS fed animals. ORGANIC fruits and vegetables. To buy GRASS fed everything. To supplement where you lack, with ORGANIC products. And to use healthier alternatives. Because, they're out there.

The argument I always use is, would you rather pay $1.00 extra for the grass fed beef a pound. Or be charged $100.00 monthly for medication, and a hospital bill from your cancer treatments.
Because, it's not a matter of IF anymore, it's a matter of WHEN. If you eat a diet, like the modern american.

I will get more in depth, on the dangers of grains. On the benefits of walking daily, and other aspects of the primal lifestyle.

That's it for today guys and gals.

Stay healthy, stay strong, stay grain free, Stay primal.
Until a future time,
Corey.

Stretching: How, When, & Why You Should Do It.

Our muscles are very complex. They get tight, and they hurt. But, with proper stretching, we can loosen them up thus, eliminating the nagging pains we often feel. When we stretch our muscles, they become more elastic and they have a greater range of motion. They often help us with our daily lives. With tight muscles (which most have now a days, due to the overwhelming rise in technology), it is hard sometimes to perform a simple daily action of even walking. Our posture becomes terrible, we hunch over, we complain when we walk. Our bodies are deteriorating, slowly. But thankfully, we have this little thing on our side called time.

With time, perseverance and patience. We can change that. We can reverse the damage we have caused. We can change what we have done to our bodies over time. With a simple stretching routine every morning, you will see improvement in your posture, in your mood, your physical pay load. Everything. You will noticed your gym activities, whatever they may be, will improve. Your life will improve ten fold.
Now, why do we stretch? Well when we are active, our muscles become tight, and filled with lactic acid. If not properly stretched, the tightness never goes away and sticks with us forever. Hindering our abilities to perform some simple tasks as: squatting down, bending over and even walking. Reaching for things, can become a burden too.

You can see why stretching is so important. It helps us, well live better lives. So I will tell you the basic fundamental stretches that will help you in your everyday life. And perform better at the gym.

With every stretch, hold it for 30-90 seconds, working your way up to 90.

1.Sit with your legs spread as far apart as you can, bend forward like a hinge at your waist, stretching your arms out towards your feet. Reaching as far as you can. And hold that position for up to 90 seconds, or as long as you can.

2. Repeat, doing it with a single leg.

3. The butterfly, I'm sure you remember this from gym class. Sit with your feet together, and press on your thighs with your elbows stretching open your hips.

4. Stand, feet spread as wide as you can, breathe in and exhale down slowly. As you fold your arms, hand your head, arms folded in front of you. And dangle there, stretching your hamstrings and lower back. This is a great one, to help your nagging hamstrings.

5. Now, feet wide again, squat as far as possible. And maintain that position. Stretching your hips again, and inner thighs.

6. Step one foot in front of the other, and bend forward, keeping your feel about 2 or 3 feet apart, like scissors. And bend over that front leg, like a hinge. Reaching as far as possible.

7.Repeat #6, but bend your front knee. Do #6 and #7 for both legs.

8. On your hands and knees, inhale, and arch your back, exhale and press it out. Called the cat stretch. Do this, for 10 reps.

9.Stand, and cross one arm across your chest and make an L with the other one, hugging it close to you. Repeat for both.

10. Reach one hand behind your back, like you have an itch and press on it with your opposite hand. Repeat for both arms.

11. Sit, with one leg crossed, putting your leg on the opposite side, and push on your knee with your elbow, stretching your spine. Take care of those spines, they help you live and walk right. It is, the "backbone" of your body.

12. Get in the push up position, and push back, having legs straight. And bend one ankle. Stretching your calf. Repeat on each side, up to 10 times.

Those, are pretty much the basics.

There is a more in depth stretching guide, I will be writing soon. For now, do these daily. But, at least 2 hours before you work out.

You don't want to do static exercises before working out. You want to do dynamic stretches, such as.
Body squats, pot stirs, etc.
These will open up your muscles and get them warm for working out.
More on those tomorrow.

Stay strong, stay fit, stay active, and stay healthy.

Diseases, Can You Cure or Even Prevent Them?

We all ask the same question. "I have, such and such disease. What can I do?" It'san age old question, "I hate the side effects of my medicines, but I NEED THEM" No, let me stop you right there, you don't. You can change, prevent and even cure some if not all diseases.
Some of you are sitting there, saying "well that cannot be, my doctor gave me this pills for a reason". The reasoning, is Big Pharma, and the prescription agenda. They make more money, off of people who have diseases that are easibly curable with diet change and supplementation of natural resources. But, they push these expensive and unnecessary medications, with a side effect list that is worse than what they are claiming to cure. My hnest opinion, they mask the underlying causes of diseases, poor nutrition and vitamin deficiences.

These few items, can help you, with curing cancer. Yes CURING cancer. Preventing cancer, and a host of other diseases, including but not limited to:
-Alzheimer's
-Cancer
-IBS
-Heart disease
-Liver disease
-Dementia
-Cardiovascular disease
-Asthma
-Vascular diseases
-Hair loss
-Tooth decay
-Tumors(shrinking them)
The list goes on and on. The number of diseases has grown to such a magnitude, since the early ages of man. They never knew diseases as of which we now know, The worst, was the bubonic plague. And even then, they used natural remedies to cure them.
A lifestyle change is inevitible when faced with a life altaring or liffe threatening disease. More vegetalbles, more fruits, more meat, less starchy carbs.

These are the best natural ingredients to use, that can help rid your body of all sorts of toxins:
1.Apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar has been used for the longest time as a natural remedy for acid reflux and a host of other stomach related problems
2. Honey.
Honey, can be used for a number of things. From a natural allergy suppressant. To some quick energy. And, helping ward off pesky acne. It is a very versatile product.
3. Raw Coca powder(unsweetened).
This, is a natural antioxadent that has more power than a cup of green tea. It was used along side green chillies(fresh), and vanilla. To make the first ever hot chocolate.
4. Coconut(oil).
This, is the meca of all products. Curing and stopping cancer cells and tumors. Tooth health. Intestine health. Gut health. Hair and skin health. Brain clairty. You name it. Coconut can be used for it. The best part, is the coconut oil. But, coconut(raw), coconut milk and water are all great to use. This is a cure all, and a must in an everyday diet.
Lastly, I will talk about a controversial product, Hemp Oil.
The oil from the marijuana plant, has been shown to fight and stop cancer growth. And also help individuals be healthy. It is a highly controversial product, because of the recreational use of cannibis(which I don't frown upon). But, the oil, has a low THC count. And, can be used to help stop cancer.
There are many other products that can be used by the body, to help fight and ward off diseases. Also help prevent them.
Cayanne pepper.
Garlic.
Ginger.
Cinnamon.
Collagen.
Turmic.
The list goes on.
Inflamation, acne, poor circulation, obesity, etc.
These are all things a simple tweak or two of your diet can change.
Let me give you a start, to cleansing your system. Kevin James used this, to lose his weight.
I heard this on a Joe Rogan podcast(highly recoment listening/watching)
Drink one shake every morning:
Kale(one bundle)
Celery(2-4 stalks)
! Pear
1 cucumber
1 piece(about 2inches) of gigner root(fresh)
Make sure all ingredients are washed and fresh, no frozen, and no GMO.
Blend together(no wader needed)
And if you really want a kick, add a spoon full of chia seeds and or hemp seeds.
That shake will cleanse your body and get you on your road to fat loss.
So in closing, I recomend everyone follow a diet high in vegetables and fruits, use vitamins and supplements when needed. Use spices(organic) as much as wanted.
Moderate protein.
NO GRAINS, NO STARCHY CARBS.
Basically, any potato product is eliminated. No corn (yes, again it is a grain)
Get active. Get moving.
And stay healthy,
Until next time,
Corey.

Tomorrow, we will go over fitness, the do's and don't(s). And where most people make
their mistakes.

Supplements, Do You Need Them? Are They Worth the Money?

Ah, supplements. We all want to "get big fast" or "lose the inches in a few days".
Hell, I'm even guilty of it. When I first started working out, and nutrition. I spent over $100.00 on supplements. That hardly did any good, if not did bad to my body. I spent over, $450.00 on my share of supplements, and I have used my share of "free" ones. I quoted free, because as my favorite highschool teacher use to say, "There is no such thing as a free lunch" Meaning, even if it's free for you, someone had to pay for it.
  Anyways, back on track now.
Supplements, everyone uses them, everyone wants them. I mean, who wouldn't? Look at those muscle magazines, all these jacked and ripped dudes, and even girls, holding these supplements. And of course, they show those articles, of people who "transformed" because of the supplements. Or those stories, of how the supplements helped them so much. And then, there is the big dude, endorsing them. Claiming that they got those muscles by taking that powder, or pill. It's simply, unrealistic. Sure, those supplements help but truth is. You won't get that big, without steroids. It's physically impossible. Don't let anyone fool you.

So, you're wondering, why am I bashing supplements? Well, I'm not exactly "bashing" them. Some are good. There are good protein powders, and such. But, the majority. Is shit. Plain and simple. Let me explain:

There are,
Pre-Workouts
Protein powders(whey, caseine, soy, rice, isolates, pea, etc)
Intra-Workouts
Creatine.(which I will say, does help a bit, one supplement I stand behind)
Fat burners
Thermogenic pills
Testosterone boosters
Post-Workout
Amino Acids
ETC.

Too many to name, really. The list goes on and on.
Now, a lot of these powders and riddled with dyes, and artificial sugars/flavors. Which, harm the body.
A lot, are simply unnecessary. Protein powders, do little for the body. When you can just eat a chicken breast.
Most have a lot of artificial ingredients (with the exception of "organic"(there is that word again) Protein powders)
Your pre workouts, well those are just a lot of stimulants and artificial ingredients. Drink some black coffee, and suck it up.
Intra workouts, do little to help you. Especially, when half the ingredients are again, artificial.
Post workout, well that's just unnecessary carbs and protein(again with lots of artificial ingredients)
Most testosterone boosters, well, have ingredients that either. Simply don't work, or they aren't a big enough dosage.
You can get most of your amino acids, from eating meat.
The only product I will stand behind, is creatine, if you want that pump. But, all it does is basically pull water to your muscles.

You can get, most of your essential ingredients from natural sources. Such as food, and a quality multivitamin.
Now, one product line I support, is Onnit. They have good, all natural ingredients. The products work. And, they aren't full of artificial ingredients.
So, next time you pick up your copy of a muscle mag. And you see those big ripped body builders. Don't buy into the hype.
Humans, survived and got stronger, bigger and ripped. More lean. Without those supplements. They ate food, and they did work. They stayed active. They walked daily, they did things that physically challenged them. They were in controlled stressful situations that made their bodies work.
So instead of grabbing that $50.00 tub of protein. Buy $50.00 worth of meat. You'd be surprised how much more effective it is for you.

  Also, those fat burners/thermo pills.
Are junk, and can be dangerous. Unless you get prescription diet pills(Which I HIGHLY advise against).
They aren't going to do shit.
Your body responds to diet, and physical activity.
Quit fueling the fire, don't feed the beast. Maybe they will change. "Organic" and "all natural" products cost a tad more. But if you are looking for supplements, quality over quantity is a must.
Because, 20 years from now, you may be looking back wishing you had spent an extra $10.00 a month and not gotten that disease, or whatever.

Be smart, be healthy, and most importantly Stay active.

The Basics: Calories, Carbs, Fats & Proteins.

As you sit there, you find yourself wanting to lose weight. More so, lose fat. You've tried everything. Every weightloss and fatloss pill known to man. The atkins diet, every diet you've heard of. You even went as far as to making yourself not eat for weeks at a time, because, well let's face it. No food=No Fat, right?
Nothing could be further from the truth. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to survive.
Now, that isn't saying that fasting, isn't useful. Even Intermittent Fasting, (fasting for certain hours/eating for certain said hours).
We will touch on that in a different post.

Today I want to highlight the basics:

-Calories
-Fats
-Carbohydrates
-Proteins

These are all key factors in determining your body composition, and exactly how your body functions.
Now, just a disclaimer. I take a different approach to this than most. Because I have different beliefs, the research is all there. Most call this "low carb" Some call it "paleo dieting" It is simply known as, going primal. Being in touch with your primal instincts and primal ancestors.

With that being said, here is how I break it down.

So, protein is a major role. It helps build muscle, and regulate your body. Helps you recover and get stronger. It released the anabolic hormones inside your body. Protein is the key to either fat loss or muscle gains.
Our ancestors ate a lot of protein, but also they ate it when they could get it. Sometimes days at a time without a bite. We of course, go to the stores and buy frozen packaged meats. That are so pumped with chemicals, it is hardly meat anymore. Our ancestors, of course hunted for their food daily. That is how they stayed active. It was either, hunt or be hunted. Needless to say, when they got meat they gorged. Protein is one of the building blocks of a nutritious and healthy life.

You want to get grass fed meats, such as: Beef, Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Bison, Venison, etc. Turkey too, but fatty meat is where you should look, I will explain why later.
You don't want too much protein, but don't want too little. I usually have a big helping of meat, and some nuts and what not. It usually gives me enough protein to sustain my body. You don't exactly NEED 300 grams of protein, save that for the ones injecting the steroids (not saying I am against that).
Your body will do just fine with 100-150 grams.

Now fats, well fats are essential for life. Good fats and bad fats. You want quality fats, animal fats. Or fats like coconut oil, and olive oil, or advacadoes, anything but processed junk. The fats you get from a box of food, has no nutritional values. Anything packaged and riddled with chemicals, and preservatives is simply, not food anymore it is so altered. Buy whole foods. "organic foods"

I quote that term, because it aggravates me.
"organic" like it is suppose to be different.
"organic food" is what our parents and parents parents and those before them called, real food.
Just food. That is what they ate daily. Because, the chemicals just weren't there.
Look for grass fed "organic". They must put a label on the shit that is good for you. So look for those labels, is it a little more? Sure, but cancer is expensive too. So is heart disease, diabetes, and multiple medications from multiple doctors.
What path do you want? choose wisely. Because you only get this one life.
Anyways, back on topic.

Carbohydrates:
Ah, these things are tricky. We have simple and complex carbs. Some that are fast and some that are slow.
They all turn to glucose in the blood and the body. Yet, the type, depends on how your body reacts.
If you eat, a whole bowl of potatoes and some sugar cookies. Sure you'll get the same amount of carbs as say, two or three bags of broccoli. But, broccoli effects the body in a different way. Not only does it have a whole host of other nutrients, your body can absorb the carbs better. The potatoes and cookies(which are riddled with additives and chemicals) will turn to glucose, or sugar faster. Not to mention those pesky grains, (there they are again)
Those things, that man ate for, tens of thousands of years before us. And, they were healthy. They lived, virtually disease free.

These things (grains) lead to so many problems,
digestive problems, stomach problems, they're hard on our bodies. On our organs, and on our  brains (yes, they fog our brains).
Plus, they leave you hungry for more.
Try and eat a whole meal loaded with carbs,
fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn (yes, corn is a grain, funny right?), and some pie for desert (I quite enjoy some apple pie though, well use to)
And tell me, if you aren't hungry an hour or so later, if not sooner. (go on, report back to me, if you aren't.. congratulations) most people will keep scarfing their faces till they almost puke.
Candy, chips, bread, corn, potatoes, pre packaged meals, breaded foods, friend foods.
They all are haphazardly eaten and thrown into the mouths of people. They don't see the negative effects until it's too late.

You could eat a whole bag of candy and still be hungry, They are empty calories.
Sugar and carbs. They do nothing for your body, when you shovel in a three musketeers, or a milky way. Why do you think they have the chips and candy at every register?
It's a marketing ploy to sell more, "oh I will get a quick snack for the road" You eat it and 15 minutes later, you're hungry.
AND WORSE OFF, they actually advertise some on the tv, (not saying names *cough* Snickers *cough*) As curbing your hunger. It's asinine.

Okay, Rant over.
As I was saying, Grains= BAD, avoid them.
Eat a diet rich in  animal fat and protein, nuts, fruit and berries (sparingly) lots of veggies (green is best) but a variety of colored veggies is key.
Drink plenty of water (but don't over drink, just when you're thirsty) and just keep active.

Calories: before I forget, a calorie isn't just a calorie.
They effect the body differently, 100 calories of spinach, will greatly be treated differently by the body than 100 calories of bread or of those "100 calorie snacks"
It's all marketing.

Speaking of marketing, tune in tomorrow, Where I pick apart the supplement companies. Bit by bit.

So, You Want to Lose Weight?

Simple, right?
Eat as little food as you can. Near none, just eat some a tiny little bit of food daily. And watch the pounds just melt off.
Wrong. Eating no food, will actually have the negative effect. You can actually GAIN weight.
I know, I know most of you are probably screaming at your screens right now.
Holding your heads already, not getting it.

Your body, is a very complex structure. Yet it is so simple to change.
The formula in its most simplistic form is as follows:
Calories in<Calories out.

There is a difference with, "weight loss" and "fat loss".

Our aim, is for fat loss.

Some Basic Terminology for along the way:

1). BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate): The base amount of calories, you would need if in a comatose state, to maintain your body composition.
2). NEAT (Non-Exercise Associated Thermogenesis): Calories burned by non exercise activities (washing dishes, walking, talking, etc). Also called incidental exercise, something everyone has a good amount of control over.
3). EAT (Exercise Associated Thermogenesis): Calories from planned exercised.
4). TEF (Thermic effect of feeding): Calorie expenditure associated with eating.
5). TEE (Total Energy Expenditure): The total calories you require, basically to live and be healthy.

In a more complex form, here is the formula to use as a measure on how to lose fat:

BMR= 370 + (21.6 x LBM) Where LBM = [Total weight (kg) x (100 - Bodyfat %)]/100

LBM=Lean Body Mass.

Now, in order to decide what you need total, you must factor in your Activity level:

This is your TOTAL COST OF LIVING, NOT just TRAINING:

1.2= Sedentary (desk job and light exercise)
1.3-1.4= Lightly active (light daily activity, and light exercise 1-3 days)
1.5-1.6= moderately active (moderate daily activity and moderate exercise 3-5 days)
1.7-1.8= Very active (Physically demanding lifestyle and hard exercising 6-7 days a week)
1.9-2.2= Extremely Active (Athlete in endurance training or a VERY HARD and physical job)

You Take your BRM x Your activity level.
To get your total required calories.

Now, in order to lose weight, you take and minus 20% from that, and eat those calories.
Eat that for 2 weeks, if no loss, re-calculate and minus a tad more.
Never got below 1500 for men, and 1200 for women,
not for a prolonged time.

That is the basics for now.
I will get more in detail about macronutrients(Carbs, Fats, Protein)
What role they play, and how much of each you should be eating.

Chakra is as Chakra does.

Our body is made up of a meridian, much like the earth. We "spin" on an axis. Our axis, or meridian, is compromised of 7 different centered points. Those points, are called our Chakra points. Those 7 Chakra points symbolize our entire being. Our entire consciousness is created from these 7 points.

Clary Sage Oil, because of its characteristic of protection and ability to clear the negativity.

Ginger oil, for its effect on digestive health and overall wellness.

How "broken" is your heart?
Rose oil because of its ability to make one feel safe and secure, it has been used in some PTSD cases as well.
Throat:
Do you have a hard time speaking in front of people?
Bergamot oil, because of its use in periods of sadness, my fiance has thyroid problems, and speaking problems when it comes to talking to people. We got her a chakra roller from a local health store. And, bergamot oil was one of the main ingredients.
Third-Eye:
How open is your mind?
Frankincense oil, because of its use in spiritual oil blends over the years. It is one of the oils given to the baby Jesus in the bible. In my eyes, that gives it a very profound characteristic.
Crown:
Do you have a lot of fear?
Sandalwood oil, for its ability to bring a sense of inner peace.

As you can see, the 7 chakras are a very important thing to pay attention to. If one chakra is out of alignment, it hurts all of them. As you can see above, our 7 chakras control every part of our lives. From feeling that we are save and secure, all the way up to having wisdom and peace within. The chakras are the most important part of our consciousness. We must realize, that our actions have reactions. When we destroy our body physically, metaphysically we will suffer. Our consciousness suffers, when our physical self suffers and vice versa. When we destroy ourselves internally, externally we suffer. Pay mind to what you ingest, weather it be food or information. Pay mind to who you spend your time with. Pay mind to who you let into your consciousness. Make sure, to bring balance to your life and your 7 chakras. Align your meridian, align your chakras and live your life in perfect harmony.

I Know
I See
I Speak
I Love
I Do
I Feel
I Am
